And since they do, no business wants to go into these big ticket items that wont be bought by their own armed forces.

If the bigger companies saw a demand in aerospace products, they would hire more Aerospace engineers. This is just because they know the Armed forces simp for imported shit, and wont buy their stuff no matter how good it is.
