Today, I had the distinct pleasure of touring and officially commissioning the Mutoko Bioeconomy Industrial Park, a flagship project that epitomizes the essence of our Education 5.0 philosophy. This state-of-the-art facility houses a biodiesel factory, a soap factory, and a cooking oil refinery.

During the visit, I unveiled a commemorative plaque to mark the official opening of this industrial hub. From Classrooms to Industries, the Mutoko Bioeconomy Industrial Park exemplifies the successful translation of research from Zimbabwe’s universities and tertiary institutions into thriving commercial industries.

By focusing on value addition and beneficiation of our local biological resources, we are creating sustainable wealth for our communities, enhancing national food security, generating employment opportunities for our youth, and driving inclusive economic growth across the nation.

Furthermore, we are strengthening domestic production and reducing reliance on imports, thereby boosting Zimbabwe’s competitiveness in both regional and international markets. We remain committed to industrializing our rural communities and ensuring that no one and no place is left behind. Nyika inovakwa nevene vayo!

Today, His Excellency President Emmerson Mnangagwa will officially commission the Mutoko Bioeconomy Industrial Park, in Mutoko, Mashonaland East Province.

The Industrial Park is a brainchild of the Ministry of Higher and Tertiary Education, Innovation, Science and Technology Development through its knowledge entity, Finealt Engineering.
