Day two of building Duet in public.
First real feedback from a friend who tested it: the one-phone mode wasn't clear.
When do you pass the phone?
Who answers what, in what order?
If people can't tell how to play, nothing else matters.
So I rebuilt that flow today.
So tomorrow I fix that.
Less building, more putting it in front of people.
Two friends offered to test it. I'm going to actually follow up, get their honest feedback, and send it to a few more.
The point of this challenge isn't a prettier app. It's customers.
Day one of building Duet in public.
I shipped real fixes: a wrong contact email in my privacy notice, and cleaner brand assets (logo, OG image, favicon).
But honestly? I also did the exact thing I said I'd stop doing.
I built.
I didn't get it in front of anyone new.
Today is day one.
I'll share all of it here, what works and what doesn't, with the real numbers attached.
If you've ever built something but never actually put it out there, follow along. This is me finally doing it.
So here's something I've never really done before: I'm putting one of my own products out in the open.
I built an app. It's cost me $89 and made me exactly $0.
And my partner just turned that into a challenge. Day one starts today.
So I'm changing that, in public.
The challenge from my partner: make Duet earn enough to cover our flights to Brazil. Three months.
The damage so far: $59 Higgsfield, $20 OpenAI Codex, $10 OpenRouter. $0 earned back.
We just launched Work Edge Daily.
The pitch is simple:
Same AI news. Different business implications.
