@cluzniak A lot of what we teach in HS math will never be used in future careers, but it's the skills we are teaching along the way that our Ss will need. Thinking, collaboration, communication, perseverance, resilience. It's not what we teach, it's how we teach. #thinkingclassroom

When a student finishes 25 #EQAO multiple choice math questions in 15 minutes, without touching a calculator or picking up a pencil. Is this truly a reflection of what this student can do? #onted

How do parents and teachers interpret an @eqao score out of 26? Is 11/26 a failing mark or have they demonstrated some understanding, and it's a level 2? Will parents get more information than the report teachers get? #mth1w

@MrVmaths It's frustrating because it's my students that are genuinely trying each question that need the extra time. The ones that are trying most questions are doing fine for time.

Great lesson in #MTH1W. Borrowed this sequence from @realJ_Mitchell . Ss reviewed sides of right triangle relationships, linear vs non-linear, multiple representations of patterns, area of a circle from circ and introduced the concept of limits. #thinkingclassroom

@MrFrascaD @Sflecce My grade 3 and her friend said there were a lot of personal Qs (their words) They didn't like that. My daughter answered IDK most of them. Her friend answered them with her eyes closed 🤣. They said they were asked if they liked their teachers. (1/2)
