During Gyakuten Kenji 2's development, the assistant producer was worried the director was pushing himself too hard when he mentioned offhandedly in a meeting room that he'd forgotten it was his birthday. To show his appreciation, the former bought the latter a birthday cake.
Rayfa Padma Khura'in is the only major character in the Ace Attorney series to have a known birth date, and one of just six characters in the series as a whole with this distinction. Her birthday is December 24th. Happy birthday, Rayfa!
I apologize for today's post. While I generally consider its source a reliable translator, given its heavy connotations, I should have made absolutely sure to verify that the translation was accurate before posting– something I didn't do. I'll be more careful in the future.
@TheMornal For the record, as far as I know, the person who translated the interview (and most of the others that I use as source material for my posts) is considered a reliable translator by the general Ace Attorney community.
@TheMornal I would assume it did? The translation I used was one I assumed to have correctly communicated the connotations of the phrase, but I suppose I don't have a 100% guarantee that it's accurate on account of not knowing Japanese myself. This is true of most of my posts, though.
@GreenieDaArtist I have no plans for a "last" Ace Attorney fact, but I will say that my most recent post would be a satisfying theoretical conclusion to the account, being about the conclusion of a character arc for one of my favorite characters in the series: https://t.co/Jaysy2nkfe
Part of the reason Ema Skye is in Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Spirit of Justice is that Takeshi Yamazaki wanted her to be happy. "I wanted her to become a forensic investigator! […] She appeared in all the games I worked on, so I wanted to make her dream finally come true."
In light of Twitter's recent longevity concerns, I'd like to announce that if it becomes unusable in the future, Ace Attorney Facts won't be moving to another platform.
Instead, I thank you all for over three years of following my posts about an incredibly important series to me.
(For clarification, this account won't stop being updated until it is literally no longer possible. I just wanted to make followers aware of plans moving forward!)

Nearly every character to serve as a prosecutor throughout the Ace Attorney series has had a named relative, with the exceptions of Godot, Jacques Portsman, Flynch, and Zacharias Barnham.
During the development of Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney, Shu Takumi personally met with Japan's Ministry of Justice to make a presentation about the game. Their reaction was simply to tell him that "the police isn't that sloppy at conducting investigations."
