@nhpcltd acquired our agricultural land with promises of a Model School, PHC/Health Facilities, Maternity Hospital, Free Electricity, Better Roads, and a Playground for the youth of PAFs. Years have passed, but the promises remain unfulfilled.

The people of PAFs demand immediate action. Development cannot be built on broken promises. We urge NHPC and the concerned authorities @OfficeOfLGJandK @manojsinha_ @OmarAbdullah @dcbandipora @diprjk @SdmGurez to treat this matter as urgent and fulfill all commitments made to the affected communities.

The condition of the Gurez Road from Tragbal to Zaidkhusi is pathetic. Patients, elderly people, school children, and daily commuters are facing immense hardship every day.

The tiled stretch at Razdan, laid nearly 15 years ago, has withstood heavy snowfall and harsh weather conditions. Authorities should explore similar durable solutions instead of repeated temporary repairs.

For years, the people of Gurez have been promised justice, rehabilitation, compensation, and employment. Yet the ground reality tells a completely different story.
Since 2009, hundreds of families have lost their precious agricultural land for the Kishanganga Hydroelectric Project. Many Project Affected Families (PAFs) and Fully Affected Families continue to struggle for their basic rights. No one-time compensation package, no proper rehabilitation, and no guaranteed employment for those who sacrificed their land for the project.
Shockingly, as many as 346 engagements have reportedly been made in the project, while genuine land losers are still moving from office to office seeking justice.
The biggest question is:
How many of these engagements belong to genuine Project Affected Families?
Who authorized the recruitment of individuals who are neither PAFs nor Fully Affected Families while the real victims continue to suffer?
Where is the accountability of the four-time MLA Gurez?
Where is the much-publicized concern of the @OmarAbdullah Government for the people of Gurez?
The same leaders who seek votes in the name of development have remained silent while the rightful beneficiaries are denied their rights.
In the coming days, names of individuals allegedly engaged despite not belonging to affected families will be made public and published in local newspapers. The people deserve transparency, and the truth must come out.
Land was taken. Livelihoods were destroyed. Promises were made. But justice is still waiting.
Enough is enough.

The same @OmarAbdullah government that failed to provide basic healthcare facilities to the people of Gurez is now trying to take credit for a DPR and highway status announcement.
Before making grand claims, answer a few simple questions:
1.Where is the permanent gynecologist for Gurez? 2.Why is the USG (Ultrasound) service still not functioning properly at CHC Gurez? 3 Why is the Operation Theatre not fully functional despite repeated demands? 4 Why is the Blood Storage Unit at CHC Dawar still not operational? 5 Why do OPD tickets still mention "CHC Dawar" while the institution is officially a Sub-District Hospital?

The people of Gurez need healthcare, not headlines. They need doctors, diagnostics, emergency services, and functional medical infrastructure—not press conferences and self-congratulatory statements.
Claiming credit for a DPR while basic health facilities remain neglected is an insult to the intelligence of the people. Development is measured by services delivered on the ground, not by speeches and social media posts.
First fix the hospitals. First serve the patients. First fulfill the promises made to the people.
Then come and ask for credit.
Until then, these claims sound less like achievements and more like political propaganda.
