‘Foster’ by Claire Keegan will transport you to the summer of 1981, rural Ireland and into the world of an unnamed Irish girl who gets sent to stay with a foster family. Maybe she will discover a little secret along the way.
Pick it up at our bookstore this weekend!

We would like to correct several important facts in this post.
Aafaq Bookstore Ltd began trading in London on 1 August 2026.
The store had only three copies of the book. They were stacked together among history books on a table at the rear of the bookshop, and were not prominently displayed or promoted.
Most importantly, our CCTV footage clearly shows that the visitor took the three copies, which had been stacked on top of one another, and rearranged them side by side before taking the photograph he published. This resulted in a photograph that does not reflect how the books were actually displayed in the store.
The presence of a controversial historical book in a bookshop does not constitute endorsement of its ideas. Aafaq unequivocally rejects Nazi ideology, antisemitism, racism and Islamophobia.
Was amazed to discover that London finally has a new Arabic bookshop – @AafaqBookstore on Edgware Road, just a few doors from Koshary el Tahrir. There’s a cafe (still not open – they soft launched) plus books in both English and Arabic, some in translation
By the grace of God, we’re proud to announce the opening of Aafaq Bookstore in London—our 14th branch and second location outside Kuwait.
A new city. A new chapter. The same passion for books.
