सोशल मीडिया पर योजनाबद्ध तरीक़े से यह बात फैलाई जा रही है कि मरहूम पद्मश्री बशीर बद्र साहब के जनाज़े में केवल 20लोग शामिल हुए। मैं वहाँ मौजूद था इसलिए ज़िम्मेदारी के साथ कहना चाहता हूँ कि यह दावा सही नहीं है। जनाज़े में लगभग 200 से 250लोग मौजूद थे।

हाँ, यह बात अपनी जगह सही है कि बशीर बद्र साहब जैसी बड़ी शख़्सियत के जनाज़े में इससे कहीं ज़्यादा लोग होने चाहिए थे। यह अफ़सोस की बात हो सकती है, लेकिन झूठे आँकड़े फैलाकर पूरे शहर को बदनाम करना भी सही नहीं है।
