America was founded largely by Protestants escaping religious persecution from both the Church of England and the Catholic Church.

This is why America has such a Puritan/Quaker backdrop with early legal systems (1600s) reflecting many of these characteristics.

The freedom of religion marked in the first Amendment stems from this distinct drive of religious refugees coming over to North America so they could practice freely.

In similar fashion, Jews came to Israel to build a refuge after facing mass perseuction across Europe from expulsions, to pogroms, to the Holocaust.

Both groups uniquely threw off the British colonial empire to establish a new government that would offer greater liberty and protection from persecution.

This is the real reason why there are so many parallels with America and Israel and why there has been a cultural alliance.

The people who are most likely to decry this are Catholics, Muslims, and atheist leftists (who just hate anything that involves what they call "capitalist colonial imperialism by white supremacy").

And that's because these particular histories are in conflict with their religious/political vision.

Catholics want a strong Vatican with a Catholic order for the world.

Muslims want a global Islamic caliphate under Sharia.

Atheist leftists want global democratic socialism or communism.

And the libertarians who just want peace by property rights through a classical liberal order are often stuck dealing with these ideological fights that distract from the root: people must adopt voluntaryist ethics and free market capitalism if they want true peace and prosperity.

Javier Milei is showing the world how it is done.

More people need to pay attention and follow that lead.

My CEO has a lot battle scars.

After selling PayPal to eBay, he netted $180 million and then bet it ALL.

1/ $100 million into SpaceX
2/ $70 million into Tesla

Then 2008 hit him hard. Three rockets blew up. Tesla was bleeding $ millions every month in the financial crisis. He was getting divorced and basically broke and in debt.

He woke up the Sunday before Christmas thinking he was on the verge of a nervous breakdown…

“…it seemed pretty dark.”

But the fourth Falcon rocket finally made it to orbit, which if it wasn’t successful, SpaceX would go bankrupt. Soon after, NASA called with a $1.6 billion contract. Elon couldn’t even hold the phone… just a simple “I love you guys!” And Tesla investors closed a round on Christmas Eve.

He got SpaceX and Tesla out of hell by the skin of their teeth.

Those battle scars built the future we’re living in today.

This is a reminder to NEVER give up.
