I'm a proud father, husband, former public school math teacher, and Nevada Attorney General.
My name is Aaron Ford, and I’m running for Governor to build a Nevada where every family in every neighborhood can get ahead.
Grateful I got to sit down with @YoungDemsNV alongside leaders @PeteButtigieg , @sandra4nv , and @StevenHorsford to hear directly from young Nevadans about the economic challenges they’re facing.
They shared how hard it is to afford gas and rent as students, and how the American dream of owning a home feels out of reach under the Lombardo-Trump economy. But they’re more motivated for change than ever, and I can’t wait to see young people show up at the polls this November.
Joe Lombardo was too weak to face @AaronDFordNV and the voters at last night’s KUNR debate and explain why he’s spent the last four years raising Nevadans’ costs.
He was too scared to show up because his record is indefensible – he vetoed cost-cutting bills, put billionaire data center donors over working Nevadans, and supported Donald Trump’s attacks on our wallets and rights.
Joe, this is your last chance to debate in Nevada’s race for Governor. Will you take it?
Nevada families are paying too much at the pump, and our reliance on California for fuel leaves us vulnerable to higher prices and supply disruptions. That’s why I created the Fuel Resiliency Committee. Additionally, in 2024, Democrat Governor Katie Hobbs joined me in sending a letter to Governor Gavin Newsom to push back against California’s policies that threaten our fuel prices, and in 2025, 15 Democrat legislators from California shared my opposition to pending California regulations that could further increase regional gas prices by $1 or more.
In July 2026, I proposed a single-issue special session to legislative leadership to consider a sales tax holiday to help Nevadans keep more of their hard-earned money. However, legislative Democrats didn’t even respond to my proposal so it could not move forward.
I plan to bring a sales tax holiday back for consideration in the next regular legislative session.
As Governor, I’ll keep fighting for relief at the pump and for ways to lower costs for Nevada families.
I happen to know of a place to accommodate both of you good gentlemen. The offer still stands for an IndyFest debate that neither of you accepted.
Let’s do it!
Lombardo was too scared to show up tonight because his record speaks for itself. He's vetoed bills that would've lowered costs for families, he's put billionaire data center donors over the wishes of Nevadans, and he continues to kiss up to Donald Trump no matter how much it hurts our wallets.
Unlike Lombardo, I'll be a Governor for all the people of Nevada, and I'll keep showing up for them like I did tonight.
Throughout his time as Governor, Joe Lombardo has sided with Donald Trump and his billionaire friends over working families. Lombardo supports Trump’s Iran war and tariffs, but vetoed bills to lower housing and prescription drug costs before raking in campaign cash.
Nevadans are paying high gas and grocery prices and what is Lombardo doing? Kissing up to Trump.
Joe Lombardo didn’t show up tonight because he doesn’t want to be held accountable for the Lombardo-Trump economy. Everywhere I go, Nevadans tell me how expensive everything is, from their housing, to their health care, to their gas. I’m going to work my hardest to get us out of the mess Lombardo and his ‘commanding officer’ Donald Trump put us in.
Nevadans deserve a Governor who shows up with a plan to start lowering costs on Day One, and that’s what I’m bringing.
Joe, you were too scared to debate me. Then you tried to get the whole thing pulled down. It didn’t work.
The people of Nevada deserve a Governor who shows up, and I'll be doing that at 6pm tonight. Watch the debate here: https://t.co/bCK3tWxcR7
@JoeLombardoNV, not only are you too scared to debate me, but you tried to get the entire thing pulled down because you’re afraid of being held accountable.
We’re in the same city. Quit hiding behind twitter and paid ads. Show up and debate me.
Let me get this straight:
Gov won't do League of Women Voters debate in Leg Building. AG decides to do w/o gov w/proverbial empty podium. Then at 11th hour, gov's legislative ally pulls use of room w/letter surely written by gov's campaign
Sometimes I hate this time of year.
Nevadans deserve to hear the self proclaimed "Education Governor" defend his record, including:
▶️ his $2 increase to per pupil funding
▶️ his veto of school meals for kids
▶️ his veto of class size reduction
▶️ his unwavering support for dismantling the Department of Education.
This Thursday, I'll be debating an empty podium because Joe Lombardo is too scared to show up and answer for why he's made life so expensive for Nevadans, and why he'd rather take care of Trump and his billionaire friends than working families.
Joe, stop hiding from Nevadans. Get on the debate stage.
Last night in Boulder City, I held my sixth town hall and sat down with residents to talk about data centers’ impact on their electric bills.
Joe Lombardo says he is ‘wholeheartedly in support of data centers.’ Under him, Nevada has given them nearly $240 million in tax breaks, and the PAC backing his campaign has taken $2 million from data center and AI billionaires.
Nevadans deserve a Governor who puts them first, and that’s why I won’t allow data centers to raise your costs by one penny.
Nevadans are paying some of the most expensive prices for gas in the nation. While your gas prices rise, Lombardo asked Congress to spend more of your taxpayer dollars on Trump‘s war.
I disagree. Trump needs to end his costly war. Bring our troops home. And bring down gas prices.
Last night's shooting near First Friday is devastating. Praying for the young life we lost, for those injured, and for everyone in the Arts District community. Thank you to LVMPD for their swift response and to everyone who looked out for one another in those moments. Nevadans deserve to feel safe in the places we come together.
Under the Lombardo-Trump economy, the cost of housing has exponentially increased. In Clark County, 15% of the homes are owned by corporations.
Joe Lombardo vetoed the bill that would've stopped corporations from buying up our homes—all working Nevadans get with him as Governor is higher costs.
Donald Trump is coming back to Vegas to campaign with Joe Lombardo!
I'm sure Lombardo is thrilled to reunite with Trump so they can discuss how they can take care of their “billionaire friends,” while working Nevadans struggle to afford rent, gas, and groceries.
🚨 President Trump’s plans include one big swing that will take him from Washington to Montana to Alaska to Las Vegas to Arizona to Texas, before returning home, with that trip expected in about two weeks, per sources
He will hit Texas, Ohio and Georgia twice each. The only battleground Trump has no plans to visit at this point is Maine — where GOP Sen. Susan Collins is fighting off a challenge from Democrat Troy Jackson.

The Office of Governor does not belong to Joe Lombardo, it belongs to the people of Nevada. Lombardo has repeatedly hid behind his billionaire friends, taking their campaign money to run ads, but he's nowhere to be found when Nevadans are asking questions about why he'd rather kiss up to Trump than lower costs.
I’m ready to stand on a debate stage and lay out my vision for an affordable Nevada that won’t have people deciding between if they should pay for groceries or gas this week. I intend to do that on October 8th.
In October 2016, @AaronDFordNV voted with Democrats and Republicans to create Allegiant stadium and convention center expansion.
When it came to bringing the Raiders — and thousands of new jobs — to Las Vegas, he listened to voters and worked with both parties to make it happen.
Attorney General @AaronDFordNV has secured a landmark victory against Meta.
This settlement has won Nevada up to $256 MILLION and will install new anti-screen time rules for kids.
