初五習俗4:放鞭炮

在傳統習俗上，年初五這天，每戶人家都要放鞭炮，從房子裡往外放，邊放邊往門外走，將「晦氣」、「窮氣」逐出門外，而放「二踢腳」稱作「崩窮」，意思是妖魔鬼怪、所有不吉利的東西從家裡崩解驅走。

初五習俗5:吃餃子

大年初五這天要吃餃子，吃餃子是傳統的習俗，因為餃子的外型長得很像「金錠、元寶」，有慶祝財神重返人間的意思；而吃餃子又稱「捏小人嘴」，意思就是將歹心小人的嘴巴捏上，不讓他隨意散播謠言，相傳可以免除讒言害事。

舊時的習俗要連續五天吃「水餃」，而後有些人家只吃三、二天，或是隔天一吃，所以從皇宮到街巷都吃著水餃，無一不吃，而有些地方會在餃子裡會包蜜餞、紅糖、硬幣等，象徵幸福和發財。

大年初五習俗

初五習俗1:開市祭財神

大年初五傳言是財神的誕辰，為爭利市，故會在初四子夜，準備好糕果、祭牲、香燭等供品，敲鑼打鼓焚香禮拜，虔誠地恭敬財神的到來，俗稱「接財神」或「搶路頭」。

迎接財神會準備「羊頭」以及「鯉魚」，是因羊頭有「吉祥」的意思，而鯉魚的「魚」和「餘」是諧音，討個吉利。人們深信只要能得到財神的顯靈，便可以發大財。過年期間大小商店關門公休，習俗上選擇年初五這天開市招財進寶，象徵今年的財運會很興旺。

怎麼迎財神?

設桌於公司大門口。
桌子最前端放3個酒杯(或茶杯)，接著依序擺上三牲、羊頭、鯉魚、水果等供品和紙錢，而紙錢用土地公金、天金、壽金、刈金。
由老闆點香帶頭拜，嘴裡可唸:弟子(信女)姓名、公司名稱與地址，誠心地恭請財神爺保佑弟子(信女)和公司生意興隆、大發利市。
待香焚燒過半後，擲筊請示神明是否可燒化金紙，如果擲得聖筊，則可拿起紙錢拜三拜後燒化。
待紙錢燒完，即可燃放鞭炮，此時迎財神的儀式就結束了。

初五習俗3:掃房子、送五窮

在民間，「送窮」是很有特色的傳統風俗，即是送窮神、窮鬼，而「窮」的稱法不盡相同，好比「送五窮」、「趕五窮」、「送窮灰」、「送窮土」等等，普遍認為元旦到初四不打掃稱「集福氣」、「聚金財」，初五打掃清除，叫「送窮」、「趕窮神」。

簡易版送窮方式是早上放鞭炮把垃圾倒出去門外就完成了；而較講究的送窮則是要用剪刀剪出一個小紙人「窮媳婦」，然後送走，甚至還要再窮媳婦背後裝有垃圾的小紙袋，再掃出門外。除了送五窮習俗之外，有些地方會將水填滿空瓮或飽食肚子的習俗，習俗稱為「填窮」。
