@Posthorne01@Craig_Foster So true!! They be asking why did we support China by buying all there made goods from the highest polluting country in the world! I’ve not seen one government policy to tax china’s good imports! Great post!
@GunjapartyOz@Craig_Foster I hope you both are now not going to buy one thing made in China! Because what use is it if we close all our coal power plants and China opens up 1000 more! The pollution grows! But we get poor!! So then we are poor and stupid!
@AshPolitik@StuddertNatalie If you follow the money, AI google states that China which uses the most electricity in the world for manufacturing and it’s population use coal. Why would they use coal if it’s not the cheapest form of energy? Riddle me that Batman! Plus they have largest minerals for renewables
@Mercfan3Mercfan@BrisMarSci Infrastructure is made by government it’s what enables the rich to get rich! Think about it, with no rules, no bridges, no ports.. no one can get rich and no one will have jobs. Tax is needed by government to build such infrastructure. If rich don’t pay then middle class must!
@BrisMarSci You are very simple minded individual if you can’t understand the basic economic principle of supply and demand!
If supply has slowed then so should immigration demand!
You fail to understand, failed government policy which has allowed banks to lend debt uncontrollably!
“A new poll has revealed almost two-thirds of Australians, across all ages and political demographics, are in favour of reducing immigration.”
And
“The Department of Home Affairs has released temporary visa data for Q1 2025, showing a record 2,541,651 temporary visas on issue in Australia (excluding visitors).
This figure was around 120,000 higher than the year prior and about 580,000 higher than Q1 2020, before the pandemic.
The blowout in bridging visas, which hit a record high of 379,800 in Q1 2025, is driven by former students refusing to return home.
Temporary migrants seeking to rort the system for personal gain can contact the immigration industry to set the Administrative Review Tribunal process in motion. The system then allows “temporary” visitors to extend their stays for years, allowing them to work and possibly transition to permanent residency.”

Immigration has long stopped being a net benefit for Australia.
Big business especially banks and property, academia and the bureaucracy are all milking it at the expense of everyday Australians.
Thats why People First is going to crack down on bridging visas and student visas.
Our goal will be to eliminate bridging visas entirely and reduce student visas by over 500,000 in three years.
This will see the number of temporary visa holders reduce by almost a million people in just three years.

I was told I was getting arrested and charged today, and I was willing to go through that.
Turns out the Brisbane police were not willing to carry through with their threat. They just forcefully removed me and then released me.
Of all the people with signs here through the years, I’m the only person they have ever done this to.
Having peaceful conversations about children being harmed is apparently the one thing we’re not allowed to do.

“Is the government going to cut immigration to match housing availability or they going to keep going until every regular working Australian is homeless?”
