The tragic death of the very talented actress and singer Hayden Panettiere is doubly tragic, as her brother previously died of a heart condition, her preliminary autopsy indicates death by cardiac arrest.
This has happened to too many talented, famous people, from Prince to Michael Jackson, and now to a young woman in her prime.
To me, it looks like it may well be gross mismanagement of prescription drugs.
We seriously need a major investigation into the use of all prescription drugs, especially in relation to mental health.
My heart goes out to her father, her adoring fans, and close relatives.

It looks like the tragic death of the very talented actress and singer Hayden Panettiere is doubly tragic, as her brother previously died of a heart condition and her preliminary autopsy indicates death by cardiac arrest. This has happened to too many talented, famous people, from Prince to Michael Jackson, and now to a young woman in her prime.
What fame, the press, and now the pressure of social media can do to peoples well being and mental health have been evident for years.
To me, it looks like it may well be gross mismanagement of prescription drugs.
We seriously need a major investigation into the use of all prescription drugs, especially in relation to mental health.

Hayden Panettiere flew to South Carolina on Saturday with Brian Hickerson and stayed at an Airbnb in Greenville. On Sunday she went into cardiac arrest and was pronounced dead at 36. No signs of foul play.

What stays with me is how quiet the final hours sound. She had just spoken publicly about finally feeling like she had shaken off the darkness. She talked about still having a lot of life left. And then it ended in a rented apartment with almost no one seeing her.

I’ve covered a lot of these stories. The ones that hurt the most are the people who seemed like they were still fighting to come back. Hayden had been open about the depression, the postpartum struggle, and the abuse. That kind of honesty takes real courage. It makes the loss feel even heavier.
