Chelsea has spent £7 billion in the past 10 years and made a £720 million loss in the that period, never registering a year of earnings since Abramovic took over. And this doesn’t even account for all the payments done outside illegally or all the ones done under BlueCo.
On the other hand, Arsenal has spent £4.7 billion in the same period and recorded a £160m loss while finishing to pay for its stadium and still recording 5 years of earnings in that period.
Only last season Chelsea made a record loss in the history of this sport, and in the next report Chelsea will show another year of horrible results. Their UEFA deal is in danger and they will probably need to sell in the summer to balance for FFP.
Have some shame before posting numbers and Chelsea.
Used to get bantered for 4th, then it shifted to finishing 2nd. Now they’re trying to turn winning the league and losing a ucl final into banter. That’s just the goalposts moving as the level rises. Rival fans are hanging on for dear life, they know what’s coming.
Wouldn’t usually expect a professional sports institution to do this sort of stuff, then I remember it’s a club that’s been proven in cheating in their period of success 🤷🏽♂️

The Tottenham players posting on social media because their rivals lost a champions league final (after winning the league) is the exact kind of mentality I want nowhere near my club in a million years. Have some shame.
You can tell Chelsea have an inferiority complex when it comes to Arsenal. For all those trophies, they still don’t have the biggest fanbase in London, their fans have zero emotional connection to the club and they had barely any history pre-2005 or cultural impact
Seeing a lot of gleeful mickey-taking from people who you’d imagine would snatch your arm off if you offered their clubs the season Arsenal have just had.
Was this Premier League one of the greatest tactical upheavals in recent football history?
In his final Did You Notice column of the season, @Jon_Mackenzie explains how 2025-26 was a story of narrowing competition, of the collapse of the old consensus about possession control, and the birth of a new way of approaching the game.

"Arsenal’s brand is stronger than any rival Premier League club or British sports brand right now. And it’s no accident. I’m a Manchester United fan and marketing expert but Arsenal are cool", said CEO of Pitch Marketing Group https://t.co/BE2PUd6YHq
Arsenal are a unique club from a cultural, marketing and branding perspective.
There are so many things about the club that make it cool.
Non-location specific name, the club badge is a cannon, can you get more cool, it's based in London, one of the worlds two alpha ++ city's.
And in one of the most trendy areas in London in Islington. The colour's are iconic, the history is culturaly rich and diverse.
And from a media perspective Arsenal fans are pioneers.
Andrew @arseblog is a pioneer in the fan blog and podcast space. In the fan cam world @ItsRobbieLyle was the first to do it.
On top of that the mass array of celebrity fans.
I always hear @clivepafc say he doesn't think KSE realise quite what they own, ie this club has the potential to be even bigger.
I think KSE are beginning to realise.
After almost seven years at this club, it’s hard to put into words what this moment means to me.
I arrived at this club when I was 18 years old. Far from home, barely speaking the language, trying to adapt to a completely new culture, new life and chasing a dream that felt so big at the time.
I didn’t know exactly what the future would hold, but I knew I wanted to give everything for this club.
We didn’t just build a team, we built a family, an identity, and something the fans could believe in again. To see this club back where it belongs is one of the proudest moments of my career.
I want to thank my family, thank everyone at the club, the staff, my teammates, and every person working behind the scenes. Most importantly, thank you to the fans. Your support, patience and love throughout these years never went unnoticed. You stayed with us through the difficult moments, and this title belongs to you as much as anyone.
This club changed my life. I will always be grateful for the privilege of wearing this shirt.
