I want to thank @cawthorn_des for selecting me to be his running mate. I also want to thank @ainsley_des for his service and I wish him the best in retirement. Brett and his administration, working with the GOP Congress, has gotten so much done. The best is yet to come!
I just cast my ballot for the GOP slate of candidates. They’re active and they’re gonna help build onto the great success that President @cawthorn_des and Congress has brought to America. Regardless of who you vote for, get your ass out and vote.
I want to thank @cawthorn_des for signing my anti-robocall bill. There are thousands of Americans, but particularly our elders, that are targeted via scam robocalls. This bill isn’t going to completely get rid of scam robocalls immediately but now we’re on track.
I just filed to run for another term to the United States Senate.
Just 8 weeks ago, the people of Superior gave me an immense responsibility of voicing their concerns & fighting for them. That’s what I’ve done, with every bill & every vote.
Let’s keep fighting for Superior.
We had a very productive session in the United States Senate tonight. I'm very fortunate to work with such a fine group of individuals like @AaronScottDES@sencooley@SenSturgisMA @HarryBennettWA and others.
I'm giving my FULL ENDORSEMENT to Dick Cheney for Congress. As a New Columbian, I know he will do what is best for not only our Commonwealth but our country. If this is a campaign about activity like the Democrats want it to be, this election will be a blowout for Mr. Cheney.
I’ve just sent my ballot in the House special elections and cast it for our great slate of GOP candidates. No matter who you support or what party you’re a part of, get out and vote!
I want to join my colleague in applauding the body we all work in. Together we’re already making the greatest legislative body in the world more active. (to speak on this, we passed my motion to reduce debate time in <30 minutes)
Today, the Senate chose progress. We finally changed the rules from having debate for a minimum of 24 hrs to a minimum of 1. Immediately after, we confirmed SOS Henderson, passed a bill giving women free menstrual equipment, and are in the process of voting on more legislation.
@F_DanielsDES And I disagree with the GOP Chairman. If I were Chairman, that’s not the message I would’ve sent out but I’m not the Chair. The purpose of the tweet was not to promote he said she said nonsense, it was to say that there’s blame on both sides.
I think both parties have a lot to work on, when it comes to activity and partisanship. But shamelessly attacking one party for partisanship while refusing to acknowledge your own partisanship is downright hypocritical. (1/2)
Yesterday as one of my first official acts as PPT of the Senate, I sent out committee assignments. Just the first step in making the US Senate the most active part of the DES government.
