@orthu35empa24 When the China Expedition Force Field Arsenal came into being in late 1944, these factories became contractors continuing to produce Type 19 arms. After the war, these factories (they were owned by Japanese) were confiscated by Chinese military.

One thing I love about Winchester during the 19th & early 20th century is how closely their patents look to their tool room prototypes. They had some excellent draughtsmen who were extremely skilled, this aided in protecting the designs when the patents were submitted.

The Model 45 rifle was manufactured by Chinese communists in Shandong between 1947.4-1948.6 of the Civil war years. The rifle is a hybrid of Mauser and Arisaka. Its receiver was absorbed from the New Six-Five rifle that Liu Guifu designed in 1943 for the improved Model 81 rifle.
