I hate that we've taught people, men in particular, that if we like them enough, we'll inconvenience ourselves regularly for them.
Because I am not going to do that.
Girl to girl, always keep your options open. Men do it all the time. Maybe it's time we normalize choosing ourselves until someone gives us a real reason not to.
I will never understand ppl who raise a grievance at the exact moment you raise a grievance. I don’t believe in counter complaints, they should be separate issues entirely. I’m willing to discuss what I have done, but we’re going to finish the conversation I raised first.
I will never reconcile with anyone who deliberately went out their way to sabotage or hurt me in anyway. Family, friends, associates, whoever. Once you show me who you are, I can’t unsee it.
“Men are natural leaders” until it’s time to plan dates or do chores and then it’s just “tell me what you want, make me a list, tell me what you need me to do”
Hm
Abuse doesn't just hurt you it makes you doubt your own perception. You start asking everyone else to confirm reality because you were told your version was wrong for so long. You are not crazy. You were gaslit.
In case you weren't raised correctly, it is a man's job to set the tone in a relationship, Whether people want to admit it or not, woman feeds off his energy.. his consistency, his intentions, his presence. She takes what he gives and reflects it. When a man leads with clarity, love, and respect, it creates a space where a woman can feel safe, soft, and secure. Vice versa, when he leads with confusion, mixed signals, and inconsistency, it forces her to operate in survival mode. She becomes guarded, unsure, and emotionally exhausted.
You’d be surprised how many of my patients/their wives- have told me that when their husband died- they felt relief, not sadness.
“Isn’t that awful ?” -they ask
“No, it’s not. It’s perfectly normal”
Just boarded and found a woman getting a little too comfortable in my assigned window seat. Instead of arguing, I played clueless and asked the flight attendant to help me 'find' my seat. The FA asked to see her ticket, and suddenly it was, 'Oh, is this not C?' 😒 Girl, you know good and well you didn’t pay for a window seat! Shoutout to the flight attendant for handling it, because I am not arguing with anyone today.
@BlessingCh73232 There are some words that should never come out of your mouth no matter how angry you get. Some words cannot be taken back and they cannot be erased from the mind.
we’ve lived in an apt complex for 3 years now with no assigned parking. “good spots” are nonexistent at night. but magically, every time i come home late from an event, a front row spot open just for me. i’ve bragged about my lucky girl syndrome with this for 3 years!!!!
last night i pulled in and caught my husband moving his work truck from my coveted spot. for 3 years he has saved my spot, checked my location for when im close, and moved his vehicle without saying a thing...
You know what type of ppl I can’t stand…ppl who get a thrill out of taking short cuts or out of finessing everything and everyone. They’ll make something simple, turn into a hassle just to get their way. They are liabilities to me.
Men see marriage as a reward they give to “Good” women.
This is why they go crazy when they see Pornstars and baddies getting married.
It bursts their illusions of conferment of the marriage status.
