Kano govt revives Goron Dutse water reservoir after 30 years

After over 30 years of abandonment, the Kano State Government, under Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, has revived the Goron Dutse Water Reservoir through an ₦11 billion rehabilitation project. With a 39.8 million-litre storage capacity and a 15.6km transmission pipeline, the facility has resumed water distribution to communities across Kano metropolis.

17 Rural 5KM dualized roads with streetlights completed is a big one 👏

That kind of project hits 3 things at once:

1. Better connectivity- dualized roads make movement of goods and people between rural areas faster.

2. Safety- streetlights reduce accidents and insecurity at night.

3. Economic boost- rural communities get better access to markets in Kano city.

Gov. Abba Kabir Yusuf's administration has been pushing a lot of infrastructure and urban renewal projects since 2023.
