Human sacrifice for money ritual does not exist in Ìṣẹ̀ṣe. It is not real. It is madness. It is a scam. Yorùbá movies have really messed up people’s thinking into believing all these lies.

Of course, offerings to Ajé(Òrìṣà of wealth) and confirmed potions like awure, eyonu can be made for you so that you can be connected to your positive energies in your business (buying and selling, manufacturing etc). It is that business that will bring in crowds upon crowds of customers. As an Onisese, this is what we believe in. If you do not work, you cannot be wealthy.

So in my opinion Nollywood movies actually increased the promotion of the rituals because most of their movies these days is all about rituals or broken homes. And our younger youths these days easily copy what they see for show off to those that are not privilege to that society others belong to.

There is nothing like money ritual.
If money ritual is real, all those Bàbálòrìsà/Ìyálórìṣà, Babaláwo/Iyalawo who you think they run to would have done it for themselves to run away from poverty.

How This Present Threat Is Uniting True Nigerians Behind President Tinubu

Recent events have opened the eyes of the overwhelming majority of Nigerians to the fact that many of those we once thought were patriotic are not really loyal to Nigeria. It was actually the absence of the right circumstances to expose their true nature that made them appear patriotic.

No matter what ends up happening, Nigeria and Nigerians must be grateful that this trial occurred, because it has helped us identify Nigerians with anti-Nigerian tendencies.

This adversity has shown us who and who are true patriotic Nigerians. We should now know who can be counted on when the chips are down.

As Peter Clemenza said in the movie, The Godfather:

"These things gotta happen every five years or so, ten years. Helps to get rid of the bad blood".

And let me tell you, this adversity will pass sooner than some of us think. At the very most, Nigeria may have to endure this external hostility for two more years before a change of administration occurs, which will bring about a change in policy towards Nigeria.

But now we know those within who harbour animosity towards their own country. It is as clear as day.

Beyond that, what has occurred has united the rest of the country behind President Bola Tinubu and his government, especially considering the level-headed manner with which he has handled the situation.

Those expecting this situation to work against President Bola do not understand mass human psychology.

When you have an external power threatening to invade a country, especially in a situation where such an ultimatum appears like bullying and is based on a faulty premise, it creates in the minds of the people of that country an us-versus-them scenario.

The next thing that will happen is that the imminent peril will trigger a surge of national pride, propelling Nigerians to rally in support of their leader and their flag.

That is why you have seen opposition politicians, such as Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, issuing a powerful pro-Nigerian statement in support of the country and our government, and hitherto critical activists, like Femi Falana, appearing on TV to rouse Nigerians against the threat.

Beyond that, there are the solidarity statements from regional ethnic and cultural groups, including Afenifere, the Arewa Consultative Forum, and the Northern Elders Forum.

This entire episode will have the effect of giving President Tinubu a second term on a platter of gold!

But what may not be easily and quickly forgotten are the images of those within, who, in their folly, could not hide their glee and eagerness to collaborate with outsiders for the destruction of Nigeria. Such scenes stay in the memory for a long time. And the political consequences can be intergenerational.

But most importantly, Nigerians now know who is a true Nigerian when push comes to shove. Or perhaps we have always known, and it is a case that we had simply forgotten, or even hoped that attitudes had changed.

The truth is clear. A threat to Nigeria makes most of us unhappy, and sadly, some of us deliriously happy.

But Nigeria will survive and thrive, so help us God!

My attention has been drawn to a 24-hour ultimatum issued by Sheikh Ahmad Gumi demanding that I retract my public statement calling on the Nigerian Government to investigate his consistent public defence of terrorists.

For the avoidance of doubt, I state unequivocally that my statement is not defamatory but a constitutionally protected commentary made in the public interest, relying on verifiable facts and the provisions of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and the Terrorism (Prevention and Prohibition) Act, 2022.

I did not accuse Sheikh Gumi of being a terrorist. I only called on the appropriate authorities to investigate his public utterances, engagements, and advocacy on behalf of armed terrorists, which is a lawful civic duty under Sections 14, 24, and 45 of the Constitution.

If Sheikh Gumi believes he has been defamed, the proper forum is a court of competent jurisdiction, not intimidation through threats or ultimatums.

I stand by my statement. I refuse to retract it. No individual, cleric or otherwise, is above the law.

I reaffirm that defending, pacifying, or providing justification for terrorists who are killing Nigerians raises legitimate national security concerns that deserve investigation, not silence.

Soludo to Trump: Christians are k+ll+ng Christians in the South-East

Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State has firmly rejected allegations that Christians in Nigeria’s South-East are facing a religious gen+cide, insisting that such claims distort the true nature of the region’s insecurity.

Speaking during a live media chat on Channels Television, Soludo said the vi%lence is driven by deep-seated social, economic and political issues not religious pers+cution.

His comments come on the heels of U.S. President Donald Trump’s recent accusation that the Nigerian government is enabling widespread k+llings of Christians, with a threat of possible military intervention to “protect” them.

Soludo dismissed the narrative, arguing that the crisis is being mischaracterised by international voices unfamiliar with the region’s realities. “There is a deeper conversation and introspection about what goes on in the country,” he said.

“In this part of eastern Nigeria, it is not religious. People are k+lling themselves Christians k+lling Christians. The people in the bushes are Emmanuel, Peter, and John, all Christian names, and they have maimed and killed thousands of our youths. It has nothing to do with religion.”

The former Central Bank governor explained that the South-East is overwhelmingly Christian about 95 percent making it illogical to frame the k+llings as targeted persecution of Christians by another faith group. “It is wider than the categorisation of Christians and Muslims,” he noted.

“Nigeria will overcome, and it will end in conversation.” While acknowledging America’s right to express concerns, Soludo emphasized that any international action must “still align with international law,” stressing that external interventions must be grounded in accurate understanding rather than sensational claims.

The governor’s remarks add to ongoing debates about the root causes of insecurity in the South-East, which many local leaders describe as a complex mix of separatist agitation, cr+minality and socio-economic frustration rather than religious conflict.

Mamdani: Much Ado About A Muslim Leading New York

The brouhaha and umbrage with which some persons, both locally and globally, expressed outrage at the election of Zohran Mamdani as mayor of New York City, though not unexpected, still rankles, especially as it shows that humanity still does not fully understand religiosity.

The intensity of the enmity towards Mr Mamdani has been evident, with influential figures, such as the rapper 50 Cent, declaring that they would rather escape New York than fall under Mamdani's leadership.

Others, like the actress Debra Messing, have sparked commendation and condemnation by calling Mr Mamdani a J1had1st.

Those are very strong words!

And then some are questioning why and how New Yorkers could vote for a Muslim after 9/11.

The thing is that religionists from almost every religion on Earth have done horrible things throughout history, and, except their religious texts expressly command them to do those odious things, the most prudent course of action would be to face the perpetrators rather than tar their religion.

And talking about religion, do we, as a species, understand that our religion by and large comes from our birth lottery?

We are born and have no control over our parentage, gender and birth nationality. Then, we are named by our parents or their parents, or by some other person they trust.

When we come of age, we are indoctrinated into our parents' religion, or lack of it. By the time we get to school, we are put on an assembly line of a life destined for 22 years of classroom moulding or brainwashing, 35 years in a cubicle society calls an office job, and then 10-15 years to enjoy what is left of their lives, if that at all!

But let us take a step back before we setback what should be a day to celebrate a comeback from Mr. Mamdani, who once polled just 1% and is now among the 1% that basically control the world.

What really is religion? It has been said that "Religion is man's attempt to reach God." And I like that definition from Carl Medearis, because it makes it clear that religion is an 'attempt'. It is neither science nor fact. It is something that adherents must accept by faith.

And therefore, we must accept that to each their own, and thus live and let live!

Every religion on Earth is like WiFi. There are millions, possibly billions, of WiFi on Earth. And all of them lead to only One Internet. There is only One God. Not two, three or many gods. Only One God. And whatever your religion is, it is only a WiFi that leads you to that One Internet.

Your WiFi is only as strong or weak as its connection to the Internet. And your religion is only strong or weak depending on its connection to God. Your religion is not the Internet. It is only a way to the Internet. And that is why you must respect every other religion and promote peaceful religious coexistence, because there are many ways, but only One God.

And so, in the case of Mamdani, New Yorkers and the rest of the world ought to understand that since its founding in 1624 by Dutch colonists, New York City has developed to such an extent that a mayor of the city can't do anything with their office other than what the municipal laws say and what the people of New York City want.

Even as powerful as the President of the United States is, the courts have tied his hands and Congress on more than a hundred occasions; how much more so a mayor?

That being the case, it would seem that the most prudent course of action in the current circumstances is to acknowledge that religion is gradually becoming less relevant in the selection of leaders. Instead, people are looking at competency.

That should be what the Mamdani phenomenon should be all about, not Islam, or any other faith!
