I've noticed some PP cadres using the old, war-torn buildings of Massawa to play politics against Eritrea. However, they seem to either intentionally or unintentionally ignore the fact that these buildings were destroyed by the Derg regime, which bombarded Massawa for weeks. Many civilians lost their lives in these gross violations of humanity, with cluster bombs raining down on them. It's easier to rebuild and renovate the physical structures, but the scars left behind will remain for generations, serving as a reminder of what the Ethiopian government did to Massawa. We always say, stop playing with fire. The pain we carry is immense, yet we've set it aside for the sake of peace between both countries. But don't scratch our wounds. We have a vast archive of evidence documenting the atrocities committed against Eritrea by different Ethiopian regimes. We urge you to stop manipulating history for political gain, as those scars are a testament to the resilience of the Eritrean people, and we will not forget.
