@_bg37 I was 8, so when I found the box score years later I was stunned, I mostly remember being glad there was a 2nd game because it was over so quickly. Pops scalped some really good seats that first day.
@_bg37 Later that July '97, Maddux threw a 77 pitch CG but gave up a single run in a W at Wrigley, in the first game of a true doubleheader. And I was there with my dad, first away game/series ever! We missed Sosa and Bautista HRs going to the bathroom, and it's been a thing ever since.
AA Braves affiliate moving to Columbus, hopefully means they'll be in the same division as the Lookouts soon, and we get double the amount of hosting the AA Braves in Chattanooga. *fingers crossed*
@_bg37 He really is a great fit. Imagine bringing him in to PH against a tough lefty last time through the order and then have a lockdown defender in LF.
the only thing washed is this dirty rag of a media company
speak on my team when youโre known more for your prolific reporting than your many mistakes
@itsJadynNow SF would be rad, although pricier. Depending if the Reds suck again, could get tix there for cheap and relatively close. Idk if you've done GABP yet. DC could be a fun trip, probably easy to get great seats and lots of free stuff to do.
@_bg37 If we have learned anything this hot stove season, it's that ya gotta draft tons of pitching, especially upside college arms. Paying a bunch of vets north of a milli a start ain't it, if you want to avoid major CBT penalties and maintain a star-studded lineup.
@mrsiefert I think Vaughn is the other side of the Kelenic platoon, with a side of backing up 2B/3B. Shy of AA finding him a starting gig at 2B for an arm with yrs of control, it's how he provides the most value. Good insurance for the infield, and our best LF platoon in a long time.
Sometimes you close-open and get a wink of sleep in between, and sometimes you gift yourself that Henry Aaron throwback jersey you've wanted you're whole life. ๐คท
