Day 1 @EuroCetSoc in Spain, the #ECSConference2023 has kicked off! Today we discussed important matters about management challenges for small #cetaceans at a workshop.
The last #fieldwork blog update of 2022! Foggy days at sea, the #whaleheritagesite meeting of the @RWDW_WCA , and days at sea with @SpermWhaleScale sum up our October. @AbbarFadia will now analyze the results, so stay tuned for future developments.

Today we had a fieldwork day!! We were trying to spot common dolphins (Delphinus delphis) for the @AzoresDelphis project🐬
But, although the sea was perfect, it was full of spotted dolphins and some sperm whales.
Even so, it was a super great day and we learned a lot!🐳🌊
Today's the day you've all been waiting for! That's right, it's #WorldKrillDay!
Later today we'll share our instructions so that you can make your own paper krill. In the meantime, have a look at the hashtag for more krill facts than you could wave a penguin at 🐧
🐋Blue whales🐋 vs. 🐬common dolphins🐬
The #dolphins are 2-2.5m in length, #Bluewhales are approx. 10x the size of that! Find the #commondolphins in the #drone footage taken in our 2021 #fieldwork season in May with permits.
So proud of @Lu_Clementin0 for presenting her MSc. Thesis at the @UKIRSC_SMM conference! Luana joined us at @AzoresDelphis and initiated the whole acoustic aspect of the project!
Luana (@LuClementin0) of @ExeterMarine is joining us to talk about the communication of common dolphins and their vocal responses to swimming with dolphin activities 🐬🏊 @AzoresDelphis#UKIRSC22
