Imagine killing hordes of your enemy, then dying in glorious battle while protecting the weak and innocent after repenting of your sins, and with your dying breath you pledge allegiance to your King. Imagine being Boromir.
Many people need to hear this: Having a desire for a good thing does not mean you are "making an idol of it."
This is an old Tim Keller trick.
Ironically, the things that got labeled as idolatrous were the family, marriage, and children. Never the pet sins of the Left.
am i sure the death star is going down? look at my quant. look at him! you notice anything different about him? look at his eyes. i’ll give you a hint—his name’s a fucking number!! he doesn’t even speak english—it’s all beep-boop shit!! yeah, i’m sure.
I was happy to do this as a Citizen’s Initiative, but if Smith is going to use the clout of the office of the premier as well as the resources of the UCP—of which many of us contribute—to actively campaign against us, then we need to meet with the UCP and let them know 60-70% of their membership is NOT on board.
It was fine for her to say she’s a federalist and step aside and let the voter’s speak. Now she’s trying to push us her way. It will not stand.
@mindingottawa@SenateCA We know the magic 6 million number for the Holocaust. What is the magic number no one is allowed to deny for Residential School "Denialism"?
@papajeff71@EdmontonOilers Broberg was going to go one way or another. He wanted to leave. Holloway however would have stayed, and Jackson prioritized signing a bunch of free agents that struggled the previous year, then lowballed Holloway. He would have been easy to keep.
The temptation in times of collapse is to fixate on the collapse itself and to be consumed by the spectacle of the old order eating itself alive. There is a place for righteous anger at what is being destroyed, but if online outrage is all we produce, we will be the last generation to stand in the wreckage with nothing to show for it. We will have been right about everything and built nothing.
But we are not the last generation. We are the founding generation of what comes next. The institutions our enemies built will not save us. They were never going to. The ones we build in the shadow of their collapse just might, but only if we have the faith to lay the first bricks now.
I am going to use this idiot as an example, because doing so is convenient. The reason you use the ‘enhanced’ image is twofold:
1. It is better propaganda.
2. Anyone who objects outs himself as an enemy.
