The Crown somehow reminded me of Greek mythology

[Abbey Raymond @AbbeyRaymond2]

@profboylan #ital521 "your face is as sweet as boiled grape juice" not sure to find this as a compliment or not in Michelangelo's work....

[Abbey Raymond @AbbeyRaymond2]

@WilliamWsz9 @profboylan there were many parts in the film that I thought were over dramatized!

[Abbey Raymond @AbbeyRaymond2]

@profboylan #ital521 the power in this family reminded me of the Medici family

[Abbey Raymond @AbbeyRaymond2]

@profboylan #ital521 I can really see a religious theme going on in the pictures you provided on blackboard.

[Abbey Raymond @AbbeyRaymond2]

@WilliamWsz9 @cpt503 @profboylan #ital521 I agree, I would guess more breads because it was the cheapest

[Abbey Raymond @AbbeyRaymond2]

@profboylan #ital521 Also, these videos really showed how much art and architecture influenced culture. For example, the Dome.

[Abbey Raymond @AbbeyRaymond2]

#ital521 @profboylan I had always known a little about the Medici but those videos really explained to me their impact in Florence

[Abbey Raymond @AbbeyRaymond2]

@cpt503 @profboylan #ital521 I agree, I also think that having it be simple is helpful in seeing the true plot to each story

[Abbey Raymond @AbbeyRaymond2]

Many other stories from the Decameron are quoted and explained in Renaissance Man..they all seem interesting! #ital521 @profboylan

[Abbey Raymond @AbbeyRaymond2]

@cpt503 @profboylan #ital521 me too! I found it easier to understand as well

[Abbey Raymond @AbbeyRaymond2]

@profboylan #ital521 I enjoyed hearing the story & feel like I could understand it more hearing the characters go back and forth in dialogue

[Abbey Raymond @AbbeyRaymond2]

@profboylan #ital521 In other history classes We have talked about the plague. Especially how the middle class was so susceptible to disease

[Abbey Raymond @AbbeyRaymond2]

@profboylan #ital521 "love secretly took up his bow again, like a man who waits the time and place to strike" #sonnet2

[Abbey Raymond @AbbeyRaymond2]

@profboylan #ital521 just by reading Petrarch's bio it describes his fixation on Laura. Sounds similar to Dante and Beatrice.

[Abbey Raymond @AbbeyRaymond2]

@profboylan #ital521 Dante uses a metaphor about flowers at night and then how they strike up in the day, i thought this was intresting

[Abbey Raymond @AbbeyRaymond2]

@profboylan #ital521 "do you not hear the anguish in his cry? Do you not see the death he wars against upon that river ruthless as the sea"

[Abbey Raymond @AbbeyRaymond2]

@profboylan #ital521 i think its intresting that Dante explains love as being masculine. Usually love is known to be feminine

[Abbey Raymond @AbbeyRaymond2]

@profboylan #ital521 its clear in section II that Dante views Beatrice as someone that is special. I can see the honest love& redefined love
