That was hard to watch because we were censored and kicked off social media if we dared question the government’s narrative.
But you weren’t censored. You were free to say whatever you wanted, including making those who disagreed with you get more attacked and feel more isolated.

But the other night’s emotional monologue of yours was not as hard to watch.

Please save your tears for the American Mom and Dad, who for the last 4 years because of Democrat policies, had to decide whether they should buy groceries or fill their gas tank so they could either feed their family or drive their children to school and then drive to work because they COULDN’T AFFORD BOTH!

You see, it’s easy for you and Oprah to lecture hard working American parents who both have to work to make ends meat and live paycheck to paycheck because you and Oprah are RICH, FLY PRIVATE PLANES and if food prices go up 26% it doesn’t affect you or YOUR Family at all.
If the price of avocados went up to $5,000 dollars, you and Oprah would just eat five grand guacamole.

Wealthy Liberal elites who live in guard gated communities are immune from the destructive Democratic policies that have so deteriorated our nation’s cities. The average American family is not afforded that same luxury…and safety.

I would say a better focus of your emotions would be on repairing your Democratic Party that moved so far Left that they Left the American people behind.

So, you are mistaken in your monologue when you said that “Americans who voted for Trump made a mistake, too.”

No, Sir!

The American people made a correction against policies that they could no longer stomach. And policies that their country could no longer afford.

And it was an overwhelming majority of Americans who made THEIR choice. A choice for a better more affordable America where Free Speech is not under attack but reaffirmed.

Make no mistake, this election is an overwhelming and clear mandate for change. And change is needed. And change is coming.

This is Scotty Enoe.
Enoe is a CVS security guard who was arrested in NYC just over a week ago after defending himself from Charles Brito, a shoplifter, who attacked him, threw him to the ground, and punched him in the face after Enoe confronted him over shoplifting, which resulted in Enoe pulling out a knife and stabbing Brito in self defense. Brito died from his wounds shortly after.

Brito is a homeless man who had a history of 16 prior arrests since 2017 and had come to that store multiple other times to shoplift, but was told off about it by Enoe and said to Enoe that he would kill him.

Enoe is being charged with murder and criminal possession of a weapon.

He is currently out on a $100k bond, had to give in his passport, has to wear an ankle monitor, and has strict conditions regarding where he can be every day.

Enoe immigrated to the US 10 years ago from Grenada, has steadily held a job since then, currently works two jobs despite suffering from sickle cell anemia, and has no criminal record.

I'm not sure why practically nobody is covering this story, but this is pretty much another Daniel Penny/Jose Alba case and I hope Scotty Enoe gets the justice that he deserves.

The real-life Peaky Blinders, 1910

The Peaky Blinders, an infamous street gang that operated in Birmingham, England, between the 1890s and 1920s, consisted of men from lower social classes who climbed the ranks of the gang hierarchy through fighting, gambling, evading the law, and committing murders. They specialized in robbery, violence, racketeering, murder, and controlling gambling activities. The gang's membership fluctuated around 50,000 individuals, with alliances changing based on their relationships with the Peaky Blinders. Shockingly, some members were as young as 12 years old.

The gang earned their name, "Peaky Blinders," through two possible origins. They were known for wearing flat peak caps, which they would modify by sewing razor blades into the front, turning them into concealed weapons. This dangerous headwear allowed them to blind their enemies by headbutting them in the eyes or slashing their foreheads when removing the cap, causing blood to impair their vision. Another explanation for their name stems from their method of robbing people. The Peaky Blinders would approach their victims from behind, pulling down their hats over their faces to obstruct their view while stealing from them.

In recent times, the Peaky Blinders have gained widespread popularity through a highly successful television show that shares the same name.

As I've said umpteen times, sometimes it's not the photo, but the story. Traces of Texas reader Jim Bob Sims kindly sent in this snapshot and, when I first opened up his email and looked at this photo I thought that I wouldn't post it because, technically, it leaves some stuff to be desired: clarity, colors, noise etc... Then I read Jim Bob's caption:

"This is a very poor quality photo... probably a snapshot of an old Polaroid. But it is the only picture I have of me, my brother, and my dad all together. This was taken west of Happy, TX on the family place probably sometime in 1965. My dad, Wendell, died of a heart attack on July 3, 1971. My brother, Wendy, was killed in an auto accident on April 22, 1978. Besides the fact that it is the only picture I have of us together, the other things I love about this picture are the headache rack on the pickup, the hat creases of my dad and brother, the Pall Mall in daddy’s hand, and the rain gauge nailed to the top of the fence post behind us. It all takes me back to a simpler time.

I don’t really expect you to post this photo, I guess I’m just reminiscing and you’re the lucky recipient of my memories tonight. My brother’s death anniversary was just a few days ago… 45 years, and my dad will have been gone 52 years come July.

They still have a roping in Happy every year, the Wesley-Sims Memorial Roping. The Wesley part is in memory of Bowie Wesley from Happy (Wayside). He was RCA Rookie of the Year in 1968. He was killed in an auto accident in Montana in 1970 traveling between rodeos. The Sims part of it is in memory of my dad. He loved to rope steers. We spent many Sunday afternoons roping with Tuffy Thompson who had a place just south and east of Happy. Tuffy was a 2-time World Champion Steer Roper. "

I read Jim Bob's words and I have to confess that they put a lump in my throat. I realized that I couldn't live with myself if I didn't post this. And I pondered how there are things that we possess that have intense meanings to ourselves and only ourselves. Just yesterday I read a story about a letter that Marilyn Monroe sent to Joe Dimaggio, to whom she was married for a time. The letter was found in Joe's wallet after he passed away. It had been folded into four sections and was so badly creased and had been opened and refolded so many times that it's practically in four sections. And I thought about Joe Dimaggio, one of the most famous people in America, keeping that letter in his wallet and opening it up from time to time and reading it. And I realized that even Joltin' Joe Dimaggio no doubt had regrets, lost loves that he mourned, a private inner life that nobody else could fathom.

Of course, when you're not famous, nobody really cares about your stuff when you're gone. There are things on my desk right now that were given to me by friends who have passed away. I'm surrounded by them and haunted by their memories. But their special meaning is known only to me. Whoever is tasked with cleaning up after I pass away won't know about those special meanings. To them it's just stuff to be given away or thrown away. And yet, to me, it's everything.
