My fellow Democrats, I have decided not to accept the nomination and to focus all my energies on my duties as President for the remainder of my term. My very first decision as the party nominee in 2020 was to pick Kamala Harris as my Vice President. And it’s been the best decision I’ve made. Today I want to offer my full support and endorsement for Kamala to be the nominee of our party this year. Democrats — it’s time to come together and beat Trump. Let’s do this.

FIRE STATION FIRE: Station 164 in Huntington Park caught fire around 4 a.m. Cause under investigation, but @LACOFD says it might have started with an engine. 9 firefighters were inside, none injured. The second-alarm fire was knocked down a little after an hour.
LA HABRA HEIGHTS MUD FLOW: Rain flooded streets, while mud and debris damaged homes and cars. Several people were evacuated from Goterra Drive. This homeowner says his driveway is a muddy mess and cleanup will take a while.
BEVERLY GLEN: Gabrielle Kennedy parked her car on the street in this Beverly Glen neighborhood. The mud flow overtook her Prius. Now, she’s trying to dig her wheels out before calling for a tow. The National Weather Service says this is the worst storm of the season.
