More update on Kenya-Somalia tensions

Tensions are rapidly growing between Kenya and Somalia over immigration.

Kenya is cancelling all fraudulently acquired Kenyan passports and IDs held by Somali officials.

Today, Somali president issued a directive to officials in Mogadishu to surrender all their Kenyan passports and IDs.

Kenyan passport ranks around 68th to 69th globally with visa-free or visa-on-arrival access to roughly 73 to 76 destinations.

Somalia ranks near the bottom globally at around 96th, with access to only about 32 to 43 destinations.

Can Somali officials easily give up their high-prestige Kenyan documents?
