I commiserate with his wives, children, party leadership and stalwarts, Olojoku of Ojoku and the entire indigenes of Ojoku over the untimely death of Sen. Rafiu Ibrahim
May his soul rest in peace
Today, it was devastating to receive the shocking news of the death of my brother, Sen. Rafiu Adebayo Ibrahim. It was even more painful to receive his corpse at the International Airport, Ilorin. The grief of participating in his Janazah is yet to be overcome.
Many will remember Sen. Rafiu Ibrahim as kindness and humility personified
Sen. Rafiu was a loyal party man whose tenure as a Senator and Member, House of Representatives attracted lots of employment not only to his constituents but the entire youths across the state.
I remember Herbert as kind, bold, intelligent and goal-oriented. He also had novel ideas about governance, which he shared with me while I was Governor of Kwara State. I offer my deepest condolences to his family, friends and associates, Access Bank and indeed all Nigerians.
I am deeply saddened by the tragic deaths of co-founder of Access Bank, @HerbertOWigwe , his wife son and others. We have lost an astute banker, educationist and humanitarian who had a passion for developing others. Working together in corporate banking in the early 1990s at GTB
Kwara welcomed our RECOVERY team to the Metropolitan Square, Ilorin, with one message: O Su Wa. It is a message of frustration with the APC and conviction of recovery by the PDP. -AA
Across the North East and the North West, Nigerians have shown us that they are ready to #RecoverNigeria with the @OfficialPDPNig.
Today, at our first campaign stop in the North Central, the people of Kwara State said: “Yes, we too are PDP!” #AtikuInKwara
Today, Kwara State told the nation and the world how they will vote:
President — PDP ✅
Governor— PDP ✅
Senator — PDP ✅
House of Reps. — PDP ✅
One thing is clear, we are ready to #RecoverNigeria! #AtikuInKwara
#AtikuInKwara : H.E Dr. @bukolasaraki, former Governor, @AbdulfataAhmed ,the PDP gubernatorial candidate in Kwara, Alhaji Shuaib Yaman and other party stalwarts receive the National Working Committee members of the Party at the Ilorin International Airport

In response to an invitation by the commission via a letter dated 26th April 2021, I voluntarily visited the EFCC in Abuja yesterday with regard to a complaint about a contract awarded by Kwara State Government while I was State the Commissioner for Finance.
Dear @PremiumTimesng,
Your report below wrongly claimed EFCC arrested me for alleged diversion of N9b. On the contrary, I answered the agency’s invitation to clarify lawful transactions during my tenure as Commissioner for Finance and, later, Governor of Kwara State.
The EFCC Chairman, Abdulrasheed Bawa, in an interview with This Day newspaper last June said the presidential candidate of the APC, Bola Tinubu, is under investigation over assets declaration. https://t.co/mtv6b3u8kY
I was neither accused of any wrongdoing nor questioned about any N9b transaction as your report inaccurately asserted. For reference, below is my earlier tweet issued to correct the false reports published following the EFCC invitation last year.
The death of Alhaji Hassan Danbaba, grand son of the late Sir Ahmadu, Premier of the defunct Northern Nigeria, is shocking. The late Magajin Garin Sokoto was influential and well-respected in Sokoto State and beyond.
I offer my deepest sympathies to the Sokoto State Government, His Excellency @AWTambuwal, His Royal Highness, the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Mohammadu Sa’ad Abubakar, and Alhaji Danbaba’s family.
