It reloaded. 906k of shorts got wiped in 20 hours. And open interest went up anyway, from 26M to 31M. That means every short that got liquidated was replaced by a new one. The crowd keeps stepping in front of this thing. Funding is the tell: More than 20 hours at around -0.5% hourly. That is roughly 10% paid out by shorts in less than a day, and it is still going deeper instead of normalising. Shorts are not quietly closing.
