Indian Muslim: Identity Reconciliation.
I am an Indian Muslim, so I carry two identities: Indian and Muslim. Many non-Muslims find it challenging to understand how these can coexist, just because in their minds, they are unbridgeable opposites. But let me be clear: I’m under no obligation to accept their version of Islam or their idea of India. I’ve found my own way of living in peace with both.
And now if your itch is to point to the Abdul in your neighborhood, who can't reconcile these identities or hold a combination of values that do not reconcile, read carefully:
Muslims are not a monolith. Every Muslim has their own mind. I don’t speak for all Muslims, and I don’t need every Muslim’s approval to form or express a thought. Before judging me, step out of this shallow, oversimplified image of what "a Muslim" is.
Some non-Muslims claim Islam is illogical or immoral, based on their own limited interpretations. Again, I’m not bound by their understanding. I engage with Islam in a way that is rational, ethical, and relevant to the modern world.
Most importantly, when I share an analysis or opinion on any random topic, people often derail the conversation by questioning Islam or my identity as an Indian Muslim. That’s a stealth ad hominem, a tactic to deflect from uncomfortable truths or to discredit me personally.
The implication is this: "Since you're reconciling Islam, Indianness, and modernity in a way I don’t understand, you're unreliable, so you shouldn't be talking at all."
That’s not just flawed, it’s dishonest. No one is 100% consistent in all their thoughts, or even if they think they are, the entire world can't draw a consensus on their consistency. Requiring someone to resolve every question about their identity, ideas, or beliefs before speaking on any issue is a meaningless and absurd standard. People do this not out of intellectual curiosity, but because they’re uncomfortable with what I’m saying and lack the arguments to counter it.
So no, I don’t entertain such distractions in random threads.
If you genuinely want to discuss Islam, or how I reconcile what you think are contradictions, start a new thread, write clearly, and tag me. Otherwise, don’t expect a reply.
My posts and comments follow my framework. They are internally consistent, even if they don’t align with your views of Islam. If I’m talking about India’s politics or international affairs, I’m not going to debate polygamy, the Mughals, or why Pakistan exists. Save those for relevant discussions.
Let’s keep conversations focused and honest. Respect that, and I’ll engage.

Mansoori n his son Arman, took out 20-25 mattresses from his shop n kept outside window of the hotel where fire broke out. So that people stuck inside could jump.

Eight people could save their lives because of Mansoori family. He didn't think about loss of a few lakhs of mattresses.

He himself might don't want to boast. But this is for everyone who try to criminalise every act by Muslims.

ED used as an acquisition tool for Gautam Adani?

1. Ahmed A.R. Buhari, promoter of Coastal Energen, faces investigation and is jailed in an ED-linked money laundering case.

2. He spends around 32 months in prison while legal proceedings continue. Years pass, his reputation is damaged, and his business comes under stress.

3. Coastal Energen enters insolvency proceedings. Control of the company shifts through the corporate resolution process, with an Adani Power-led consortium later involved in acquiring assets.

4. Courts subsequently quash related proceedings after the underlying case collapses. Buhari walks out of jail.

5. Final outcome: a man loses years in prison, loses his company, and is later freed.

India is not a free and fair market. The Modi government is using every trick to help Adani through government machinery.
