@Daniel_Grigg The same politics he last week described as "politically bankrupt". He would later claim he dropped the pledges because the election result was a rejection of them, but of course made the pledges AFTER the election.
@BBCNewsnight The Defence Not "Welfare" clarion was sounded by arms dealers George Robertson and Malcolm Rifkind in May, and now is the only narrative in town. Last 5 mins of tonight's show an absolute disgrace, all 3 "pundits" demanding further impoverishment of the UK for engineered wars.
@musica_callada@BBCNewsnight Spot on. The last point especially. That actually would have been the "10 years of national renewal" he laughably banged on about at election time.
@AaronBastani@Layo_FH Just as it's anti woman to lie your way to the leadership ahead of two women candidates. (Although to be fair one of those women was also lying.)
@LBC That members of the public are droning about Starmer's "integrity" shows how our media has lied to them. He deliberately broke every single leadership pledge, just for starters.
@Nicklezard Those were Tory Prime Ministers. It was Starmer's job to reverse the disastrous shit they've done to the country, instead he ramped up on it. That the question was asked and largely answered without consideration of that basic point shows why we're so fucked.
Please enjoy this 1998 footage of former Israeli footballer and current genocide propagandist Eyal Berkovic getting kicked in the face by John Hartson, during a West Ham training session.
@georgegalloway I read A Poor Man's House by Stephen Reynolds recently and was struck that Hattersley wrote the introduction. Today's PLP doesn't read of course, and has its own books ghostwritten, so it's a shame Hattersley enabled them, even down to Corbyn-bashing in his dotage.
@SaulStaniforth Whenever they pull this "I'm all about the victims" shite I reflect that Virginia Giuffre was still alive when Mandelson was appointed. Though of course, his appointment was a despicable insult to all of Epstein's victims.
@CurtisDaly_ Cameron was a Tory, hatred of the poor and destruction of public services is their thing. Problems arise when it becomes their only opposition's "thing" too.
