Call for community support for my friend Marisa, who’s finally found a place to live and needs our help securing her new home & getting back on the road. She’s a badass and this help will go far— https://t.co/Z9ehJjLqXU
@AlexandriaPaltz I just this morning had a conversation with a Republican friend of mine (yes, I have those) and he said he was shocked upon hearing that they used this language at her event.
I have added my name alongside hundreds of other elected officials calling for a ceasefire. The actions of the Israeli government are crushing the Palestinian people, endangering hostages who deserve to come home, and making Jews like myself less safe worldwide.
UPDATE: 329 local elected officials have now signed on.
The message is clear: #CeasefireNOW
We're proud to stand together and join the chorus across the country calling for peace.

@taureanflex That meme was a joke, but this isn’t a joke. The suffering in Gaza is very real and I shouldn’t participate in anything that makes light of it. Again, removing the like now 🙏
@taureanflex You know what? You’re right, I should not have liked it (removing now). This has been a really hard time and I’m honestly struggling with the silence from so many I love and look up to when it comes to speaking out against violence towards Jews. (1/2)
@DanTorresNPZ@jonathanhepp @UlsterExec FWIW my Uptown Kingston brain is thinking "I'll bet it will be cheaper to rip the tree down and grow a new one than to fix the original tree that frankly was never historically relevant in the first-place"
@jonathanhepp @UlsterExec @DanTorresNPZ Honestly I didn't realize the people of Woodstock were so straight-laced and closed minded about accepting all shapes and sizes of Christmas tree. I think it's beautiful.
🚨🚨BREAKING: For the first time in 22 days, the Republican party has unanimously elected a new Speaker of the House to replace Kevin McCarthy, Mike Johnson of Louisiana.
Here's who House Republicans elected:
- Johnson is the cosponsor of at least three bills that would ban abortion nationwide
- He actually argued that if women just gave birth to more “able-bodied workers,” Republicans wouldn't have to try cutting Social Security and Medicare
- He's an election denier who was against certification of Electoral College votes in one or more states.
- He voted against the January 6th Commission. He thinks Jan. 6th was a "legitimate protest."
- He supports Putin with his opposition to supporting Ukraine
- He opposes same sex marriage
- Says climate change is a hoax
This right wing extremist now holds the gavel of the People's House.
Biden-district Republicans must be replaced.
This is why we must win in 2024.
@rafaelfranca I can't believe the way people treat you guys sometimes. There are actually a few parallels with the way low-level elected officials are treated (ask me how I know), but at least we get to hear people introduce us to the podium with terms like "The Honorable..." at events.
PPGNY Votes PAC is thrilled to announce our full slate of 2023 candidates, running across the state for local offices this fall. These candidates will fight to ensure that sexual and reproductive care is not only protected, but accessible and affordable for their constituents.
We did it! We passed the housing legislation I've been working on for over a year. Huge thanks to @UlsterExec Jen Metzger, who it turns out was the missing ingredient all along! https://t.co/nr99AVP48A
