So what exactly is the problem with letting citizens have a say?
Oh right.
Control. Power. Greed.
And it is no surprise who is paying for articles like these.
What I do not understand is how these people sleep at night. Is the money really worth it?
Is it worth undermining public debate?
Is it worth dismissing citizens?
Is it worth sacrificing the interests of future generations?
Is it worth trying to convince people that democratic participation is somehow dangerous?
Judging by the full-blown fear and disparagement campaign now underway, I think we are getting our answer.
So thank you for coming out and showing everyone exactly what you stand for.
The world must choose:
A. Protect White people, allow everyone to have their homelands and live in peace
B. Jewish and Muslims dominate and wage a constant war of extermination against everyone else.
C. Chinese technocracy ruthlessly consumes all organic material on Earth
BREAKING NEWS ALERT 🚨
Well placed sources within the UCP have told me that at the June 5th leaders dinner in Calgary @ABDanielleSmith convened a meeting of the Leaders Committee to tell them that she wants to use UCP party funds to pack the AGM with #Daniboys to get rid of all of the Alberta Independence supporters on the provincial board.
I’m also told that Rob Smith UCP party president who was publicly castrated by Dani two weeks ago for saying g the UCP would remain neutral during the referendum did not attend the meeting.
To effect constitutional change, you must pass 4 hurdles: 1. 7/10 provinces with 50% of the population. 2. Majority vote in HoC 3. Majority vote in senate 4. Quebec essentially has a de facto veto vote… If we can’t effect change from WITHIN, perhaps we should explore WITHOUT….
The West is collapsing under its own weight.
Alberta still has a choice.
Independence isn’t a dream — it’s the only way forward.
Stand up. Speak out. Break free.
#AlbertaIndependence
Albertans have already spoken once.
In 2021, 61.7% voted to remove equalization from the Constitution. The message was clear: Alberta wanted a fairer arrangement. Premier Kenney took that result to Ottawa and to the other premiers.
They ignored it.
No reform. No negotiation. No meaningful response. Nothing changed.
That is the lesson Albertans should carry into the next referendum. Some questions send a message. Others create leverage.
The other October referendum questions may express Alberta’s frustration, but they do not legally require Ottawa to do anything. They can be acknowledged, dismissed, delayed, or forgotten.
An independence referendum is different.
It forces Canada to confront the question it has avoided for too long: whether Alberta will continue paying the bills while others make the decisions.
This should not be about party labels or political personalities. It should be about jobs, homes, housing, services, and whether Albertans have enough say over the future they are being asked to fund.
Get informed. Compare the claims. Then vote.
Please focus on matters within your mandate, including roads, sewers, utilities, public safety, and snow removal.
Basic services that taxpayers expect are deteriorating while costs continue to rise, yet here you are.
They do not need municipal politicians using taxpayer-funded salaries and resources to campaign against democratic participation or insert themselves into matters they were never elected to control.
Let citizens have a say in their own future. That is what living in a free and democratic society means!
Thank you.
Ps. This video itself is poorly done (akin to the poor municipal services) and the performative theatre is difficult to watch.
Please do better. Public office is a serious responsibility, not a game, and citizens deserve to be treated with more respect than this.
The October referendum should not be reduced to party labels, personalities, or political theatre.
It should be about a practical and serious question: do Albertans have sufficient say over the decisions that affect our jobs, homes, housing, services, and future prosperity?
In 2021, 61.7% of Albertans voted to remove equalization from the Constitution. Premier Kenney asked Ottawa and the other premiers to act. They did not. Nothing changed.
Albertans should understand the difference between symbolic consultation and real leverage. The other referendum questions may express Alberta’s frustration, but they do not create any binding obligation on Ottawa to act. None.
An independence referendum is different. It compels Canada to confront Alberta’s unfair treatment in a way that cannot simply be ignored.
Get informed. Compare the claims. Understand what is actually on the ballot. Then vote.
Canada’s Confederation no longer works for Alberta.
In a country governed largely by population weight, Alberta will always be politically subordinate to Ontario and Quebec, no matter how much we contribute or how responsibly we build.
With our energy, agriculture, forestry, technology, innovation, and enterprise, Alberta has outgrown an arrangement that asks us to pay the bills while others make too many of the decisions.
This is not about anger. It is about maturity, responsibility, and self-government.
It is time for Albertans to take control of our future and redefine our relationship with Canada on terms that are fair, respectful, and worthy of the province we have built.
Public office is a serious responsibility, not a game, and citizens deserve to be treated with more respect than this.
This is embarrassing. We need serious adults to run for these important positions. This performative nonsense needs to end.
Alberta Independence: No more Ottawa Tax. More money for seniors. Strong military and REAL support for veterans. Strong immigration and deportation. To ensure the Alberta is strong and free.
The Value of Freedom is Priceless.
RECENT REPORT FROM QUEEN DANI’s MOST RECENT PUBLIC UCP APPEARANCE…
I hope @ABDanielleSmith is paying attention! The below is a report from one of the 1500 independence supporters at a recent Leader’s Event
“In my view....
Premier Dinner speech did not yield overwhelming applause or enthusiasm.
Probably less than 20 to 25% applause in the room of 2000 plus that attended.
No one that I could note sang O' Canada, maybe a few?
She is smart & can read the room, she put every ounce of energy into trying to have the crowd engage; at very best on 1 or 2 statements she may have gotten 30% of the crowd engaged???
It will be interesting to see/hear what Rick Bell, Calgary Herald reports?”
Never To Be Validated
“Smith told callers during her regular Saturday morning Calgary radio program, Your Province Your Premier, that the reported 300,000 signatures will never be validated.”
That sucks for the folks who busted their butts collecting signatures and those who boldly stood up to sign.
