How did Gagan Thapa destroy the Nepali congress ?
I worked as an election strategist for several political party candidates. In the final days of the campaign, Gagan Thapa appeared on a podcast where a gentleman asked him whether the money found linked to Sher Bahadur Deuba was AI-generated or real. It was a moment where he could have taken a clear stand. Instead, he avoided the question, seemingly trying to keep both sides happy, especially the Sher Bahadur faction. That day I told my candidates that this hesitation would cost them dearly in the election.
To me, that moment reflected a deeper problem. Leadership often requires taking a clear position, even when it is uncomfortable. When leaders hesitate or try to please everyone, voters notice. It becomes a powerful example of how poor leadership decisions can shape political outcomes.
