Family lawyer & collaborative practitioner @millsandreeve. Always striving to promote accessibility & inclusion. Living with POTs🧂. Views my own. She/her.
October is #DysautonomiaAwarenessMonth. Living with this illness isn’t easy, but it would be a hell of a lot easier if more people understood it. Here’s some helpful posts in case you are interested in learning more. 🧂💓
It’s PoTS Awareness Day, lots of interesting & helpful resources out there. This pesky condition has impacted me so much. After lots of learning, I finally understand (as much as I can) what my body goes through daily. Thanks to @UKPoTS for all the brill work being done.
💜🌟#PoTSAwarenessDay🌟💜
#PoTS is so much more than just a fast heart rate upon standing!
Quality of life can be equivalent to COPD and congestive heart failure.
Many patients are told that their physical symptoms are ‘all in their head’ and instead are given psychiatric labels of #anxiety & #depression.
Triggers: viruses, bacterial infection, pregnancy, surgery, a traumatic event, immunisation, hypermobility.

For those angry at the treatment of our justice system from 2010 to 2024, a word of comfort.
Not a single one of the 10 justice secretaries from that period is still an MP.
Feel very grateful to be in this category with two brilliant practitioners who are dedicated to advocating for all things ED&I. It is so inspiring & uplifting seeing your respective commitments to making the family law world more accessible 🤩🥂✨
I am so thrilled to have been shortlisted for the Resolution Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Champion 2024.
I'm in amazing company in this category with Jenny Beck KC (Hon) and @Abigailpearse. Cheers to you both 🥂

A really good and informative article in the Resolution Review by Abigail Pearse on the benefits of EDI support networks in the workplace.

This gloomy beach pic I took at the weekend v much reflects my mood: got a cold which is triggering all-over body pain, my chronically ill bod never fails to surprise me with its tricks. But, self-pity aside, spring is here & we’ve got an Easter egg leftover so not all is bad🌞
@renudhinakaran I am so sorry, Renuka. I am sending you so much love, support and strength as you grieve today and future days to come. Here if you ever need a chat xx
Thinking a lot today of my lovely Auntie M who passed away last week at the incredible age of 97. Her kindness radiated in every conversation. She loved reading & telling stories about her younger years spent working in Ldn (of which she was so proud). I was lucky to know her💜
