I was OBSESSED with Yusuke through the whole of the orignal p5, wich was so funny cause when it came to Akechi's engine room scene he quickly became my favroute!!
I could really relate to him feeling so alone, I adored how awkward his interactions were, but that's what sold me.
i can’t help but wonder how akechi fans actually started liking akechi, like was it a love at first sight thing or did it take time for y’all to start liking him? 😭😭
He's important in terms of providing context, if we only saw Sae blowing up at Makoto at home with no context of her pressure at work we'd hate her lol
And the mental shutdown definitely wouldn't be such a big thing in the game without the SIU calling Shido about every major one
SIU Director is VERY important to the story, especially for Sae/Akechi
Sae wouldn't be so liked if we didn't see the SIU pressuring her at work.
His phone calls about the mental shut downs, showed how often they happned & revealing the disterbing 1s were shidos idea not Akechi
this is the funniest character in the Persona franchise. spends the entire 100 hour game chuckling to himself about how evil he is and then dies. never gets a name. literally never leaves his office. 10/10 character no notes
@Bren_296 I see a lot of people mock Rise, mimicking the things her shadow would say or do, yet will argue her dungeon needs to be changed.
The dungeon is very disterbing and uncomfortable but it kinda shows me that not everyone looks at her chatacter as a whole and just at face value.
I think she definitely loved him in her own twisted way, they definitely had good moments or Akechi would've hated her outright like he does with Shido.
I've ALWAYS said this!! Her asending Akechi out at night was neglectful and dangerous, he's lucky he as always made it home.
I feel she blamed their sistuation on him, the stigma that was being a single mum, the job she had, why Shido left. If Akechi wasn't born she'd be happy.
The way Akechi talks constantly about himself is heart breaking.
We see Futaba never even thought to blame herself for her mother's passing until someone pinned it on her.
I think Akechi's mum drilled it into him, and then him being passed around in foster care affirmed it.
@Si_Monkeyes@A66539781@k1chijoji Akechi feels remorse about what he's done, he shows it through actions, not words.
In the engine room when called a monster he tries to justify it as "taking out the trash" then after the fight he thinks the PT are going to leave him because of all the horrible things he's done.
Strikers would've really benefit from having Akechi in the cast, the song could've been for both him and Konoe, Akechi helping somone him the same situation/mindset as him.
I love strikes as is but having Akechi absent makes it feel like a bit of a odd continuation of the story.
I've always felt Counter Strike relates to Akechi far too much.
🎶BEING A DEVICE IS NOT WHAT YOU SIGNED UP FOR🎶 and 🎶I WILL BE MORE THAN A PUPPET, I'LL NEVER BE JUST A DOLL🎶
It's exactly what happned with Shido and Maruki. Him refusing to submit to the reality in 3rd sem.
akechi not being in strikers is a different can of worms but i feel like konoes story is one of those "yeah we neglected them in vanilla" arcs that the others had...like it feels very catered up to him
@k1chijoji Same!!! Would've been cool if they added the arc the royal OR even better we got 3rd sem as a manga by the same artist.
Atlus need to make use of their cooler semi cannon lore...
