I had a student who never turned on his camera because he was experiencing homelessness.
I had another student who was sharing a two bedroom apartment with a total of 7 family members.
I had another one who was living in an unfinished basement.

So check your privilege.

Apparently in Luxembourg your commute is part of your workday and that made me wonder how cities would look different if the employer was obligated to pay you for your commuting time. The difference it would make in the kinds of infrastructure that is prioritized.

a high school friend of mine has lost several close people to gun violence and substance use. She called me today in tears talking about how COVID has indirectly ruined the lives of those close to her. It broke my heart & reaffirmed my passion for the path I’ve chosen.

@matchaandscrubs I moved my Mcat date 3 or 4 times before I felt ready to take it (my parents also had similar responses) (and in a few short months I’m graduating med school). You got this!!
