Some of you come online every day to speak with absolute certainty on issues you have no expertise in, issues you have zero knowledge of.
One of Nigeria’s greatest challenges is that too many people occupying political spaces add more noise than value, there are too many nonentities allowed in political spaces, and around politicians, while many of the brightest minds have chosen to stay away from public service and politics altogether.
Some of these noisemakers don’t even have university certificates.
We must change that.
Thinkers must start running for offices. Why can’t we have an Okonjo Iweala in the Senate but we have an Onwebonyi, why can’t we have a Sam Amadi, but we have an Akpabio, and why can’t we have Chidi Odinkalu or Alex Onyia or Kalu Aja, or Dr. Ajuji Ahmed and even Dele Farotimi, but we have Orji Kalu, Umahi, Bamidele, and God forbid a possible Yaya Bello.
A country of over 200 million people cannot continue to treat foolishness and intelligence as equals. Intelligence, competence, and critical thinking must once again become respected in our political space.
Ironically, some of the noisemakers spend more time generating opinions than acquiring knowledge.
Some cannot type sensibly without using ChatGPT to sound smart, yet they confidently try to talk about governance, economics, and public policy.
Nigeria deserves a political culture where facts matter and where substance outweighs noise.
Too many noisemakers in our political space, we must start changing that.
I have so many questions!
Mehn... which kind yeye business be this? Who are the people patronizing this business? The punishment for the perpetrators should carry maximum sentence. The kind of trauma they put these children through is unimaginable

I went to greet one Baba Adugbo, and he asked me for money. I opened my banking app to transfer him ₦5,000 (he didn’t know how much I intended to send), but his bank network was poor, so I told him I would send someone to give him the cash instead.
The next day, I sent my area aunt with the ₦5,000. Not long after, she called me to say he had returned the money because it was too small. I told her to keep the money and that I would send my account number so she could return it to me.
I forgot to send my account number that day, so first thing the following morning, she called again and said he had sent someone to collect the money. She wanted to know whether she should give it to him or if I still wanted my money back. I immediately sent her my account number and told her I wanted my money returned.
She then started preaching to me about how he was an elderly man and that sometimes you just have to respect elders and accept them for who they are. But I won’t tolerate that kind of rubbish, especially when it’s money I worked hard for, and from someone who hasn’t done anything for me in his life.
She later said he was shocked when she told him that she had returned the money and that I collected it back.
E no go shock ke? 🤣
But you're stupid enough not to remember that this was in 2019, Obama wasn't president then, and his attendance didn't require anywhere near the same level of security that a sitting president requires.
In many parts of the world, the disappearance of one child triggers a national emergency.
Police mobilise. Security agencies move. The media amplifies. The nation pays attention.
So how did we get to a point where dozens of Nigerian children can be taken into the bush by armed criminals and it becomes just another headline?
These are not statistics. These are not political talking points. These are somebody's sons and daughters. Somebody's hopes, dreams and future.
Every passing day raises one painful question:
If these children were ours, would we not move heaven and earth to bring them home?
The safety of our children must never become negotiable. The protection of innocent lives must remain the primary responsibility of every government.
Today, I lend my voice AGAIN to every parent waiting, praying and hoping.
Bring our children home.
Now.
