Hero saves the beauty? No. It was my Tesla — and then my son.💕

I was on the 60 freeway going 66 mph last night around 9:50PM, following the cars in front of me. The road was wide, flat, and almost empty.

Suddenly a black Volkswagen accelerated from behind and slammed into my car. I heard a sound like thunder. Time froze. I was in shock. I blacked out for at least ten minutes. My back and lower back were in searing pain😭

When I came to consciousness, I realized my little white Tesla — my “baby car” — had switched into FSD (the car’s supervised self-driving mode) and turned the hazard lights on by itself. It drove me all the way to Diamond Bar and stopped on a local street. After that it would not move again until I called my son Justin🤣

I am blessed to have my son and this Model Y. They got me home when someone was trying to hurt me.
Intentionally hitting another person is a crime. If you saw a black Volkswagen with no plates on the 60 East around that time, please call the police or contact me.

This morning I went to the California Highway Patrol. I have tremendous respect for their work. Thank you to the officers who took the time to listen and document what happened. ♥️

The reality is that China and the US have a tremendous number of interdependencies, where the US is depending on China for many things, and China uses many things from the US as well.

Sometimes people in the US have asked me, what about separating all trade from China?

My analogy to that is that’s like if you’ve got conjoined twins that almost share one body, and you want to cut that. It’s a very dangerous thing.

There’s millions of supply-chain dependencies between China, the US, and the rest of the world.

I hope for the future that things can be as prosperous as possible. History has shown that trade leads to mutual prosperity.

I hope we can have as close to free trade with China as possible.
