Today at Lucas, we honour and commemorate the history and legacy of residential schools. We mourn those who never made it home, and we recognize the resilience of those who survived a painful and tragic history.

What an encore from the Senior Band last night allowing Mr. Stevenson to feature an alumnus on an impromptu tambourine solo, and more importantly, allowing him to Rickroll into retirement 👋 ⁣

Today at Lucas, we are taking the time to reflect on the sacrifices of the brave men and women who fought so that we may live with freedom. Today, we wear our poppies as a symbol of remembrance, respect and gratitude for your ultimate service. Thank you.

Admin and staff at A.B. Lucas honouring Truth and Reconciliation Day. It was awesome to see so much orange today worn by both students and staff. 🧡

A powerful morning of un/learning on this newly recognized National Day of Truth and Reconciliation @ABLucasVikings. “Moving Forward Together” with @IsaacMurdoch1 has given us so much to unpack and reflect on - what positive changes will we make moving forward? @TVDSB
