Since leaving the country one month ago, President Paul Biya has continued to sign decrees from Yaoundé—while he is actually in Geneva, Switzerland.

It is common knowledge that the president is not in the country, yet decrees are being signed by him showing his location as Yaounde, that can only be the work of a magician.

He recently made several appointments within the Cameroonian military ranks.

In addition, he has continued to send messages of congratulations to various heads of state on the occasion of their countries' national days.

The last decree Biya signed from Cameroon while in Cameroon was on June 2, when he appointed members of the yet-to-be-convened Higher Judiciary Council.

Since June 7 which he had left the country, he has signed at least 14 documents from his Swiss hotel, though the documents indicate they were signed in Yaoundé.

It is not that he should not work from wherever he is, but why imply that he is working from Yaoundé meanwhile he is in Switzerland?
