Urgent Action Alert: Shaka Shakur Has Been Brutally Beaten– Make Calls Now!

Dear supporters of Shaka,
Shaka Shakur was abruptly transferred this past week by the Virginia Department of Corrections
(VDOC) from the Green Rock Correctional Center to a

This eyewitness informed Shaka’s family that Shaka had been severely beaten and was bloodied all over,
including serious wounds to his head. Shaka reportedly did not receive appropriate medical care and
has intead been isolated ever since, deprived of access to calls and emails

with the outside world.
We are demanding that prison officials take action immediately, guaranteeing appropriate medical
care for Shaka and allowing him to communicate with family and supporters. We also demand that
this abuse be professionally documented and that responsible
