(THREAD) Social media...most of our generation uses it, first year composition courses...most college students are required to take this course, so is there a relationship between these two concepts so relevant in many of our lives?
Today, the class of first-year composition continues to be taught improperly. It is not, necessarily wronged by the contents or method of teaching, but by the time it is being taught. Composition is not a first year course. Here's why:

(1/13) College composition classes are beneficial. I know entry-level English classes such as English 101 are a pain. Most of us already know the basics such as writing sentences or understanding basic comprehension. However, I believe the basics should not be underestimated.
Writing composition is one of the most important skills for students to have a grasp on. No matter what career an individual pursues, they're likely going to be utilizing writing composition skills in some form and amount.
Most people tend to think of English class as something they won't need later in life. However this is very wrong, it is actually needed for everyone to help in either college, your job or both.

Many forms of teaching has been tried over the years. Although, some have been effective there is a new style of teaching storming the world as we speak. With the new technology in the world professors can connect students' with their everyday life.
