Atiku will introduce production subsidy. If you don't have a refinery in Nigeria, you will not get subsidy. Government will not pay for the subsidy. All the government will do is to make a policy. The price at which I sell crude on the international market will be different from the Nigerian market. We will do domestic pricing. If I sell crude at N15,000 on the international market, in Nigeria, I will sell to Dangote at N10,000. The difference will be N5,000. I will then sit with Dangote and tell him to give me a subsidy of N5,000. Once that happens, the price of fuel will come down.

At our Jumaat prayers today, after the prayers, our Imam prayed for Nigeria to succeed and urged our people to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu so he can continue the work he has started.
The crowd was angry at first, but after about 15 minutes of explaining why Nigerians need to give the President another chance, the mood changed and the crowd eventually agreed.
Sometimes, all people need is to hear the other side and understand the bigger picture.

Why is TikTok banned in Northern Nigeria but not in the South?
Has anyone in the government offered a reasonable explanation for why they banned TikTok in the North?

Senator Mohammed Sani Musa CON has granted international scholarship to this young boy Yazid, who was interviewed in the mining site, where those victims that died were arrested.
Yazid is a 100 level student of a private medical collage here in Minna, whose ambition is to become a medical doctor.
Senator Mohammed Sani Musa has taken the responsibility to sponsor his studies abroad and ensure that his vision has become a reality for him and his family.
Since they made Sen. Abdul-Aziz Yari Tinubu’s campaign DG, all he has been doing is touring religious leaders. That tells you everything. After four years, they have no roads, no jobs, no light, no security, and no achievement they can put before the North. So they are back to the same old game: play the religious card and hope Arewa forgets.
Dear Arewa people, if you like, fall into their trap again. Nobody is begging anybody to vote with their eyes open this time. Jiki magayi!
I have watched Yusuf Aliyu’s video repeatedly, and each time, my heart breaks.
A child with such intelligence, clarity and confidence should be in a classroom building his future—not struggling for survival in a community surrounded by gold but buried in poverty.
I cannot look at him and see an “illegal miner.” I see a Nigerian child failed by the country that should have protected him. I see brilliance trapped by poverty and enormous promise abandoned by leadership.
I appeal specifically for his safety. His courage must not expose him or his family to intimidation or retaliation. I am prepared to support his education and ensure that the brilliance we have witnessed is not buried by poverty. Any effort to reach him must be handled responsibly through his family and appropriate child-protection channels.
But this video raises a question that should trouble the conscience of every Nigerian: how can a community sitting upon gold remain so poor that it cannot educate its children? How can its wealth leave the soil while hunger and deprivation remain in its homes?
This is an indictment of the Tinubu administration. The Federal Government controls Nigeria’s mineral resources, yet the communities producing that wealth remain without schools, opportunities or protection.
The contrast is revealing. President Buhari established PAGMI to register, train and integrate artisanal miners into the formal economy, with Niger State included among its intervention states. Tinubu inherited that framework but has met these vulnerable citizens with raids, detention and the label “illegal miners.”
Buhari saw people to formalise. Tinubu sees poor people to criminalise.
This boy is evidence against the Tinubu government. His intelligence exposes the opportunities it has failed to provide. His poverty exposes the injustice of Nigeria’s mining economy. His presence at that site exposes an administration that has left brilliant children without a ladder out of deprivation.
The government must explain what became of PAGMI in Niger State and how 37 Nigerians died in the custody of a federal agency. Calling them “illegal miners” cannot erase their humanity or excuse their deaths.
As a father, a grandfather and a Nigerian, I refuse to look away. I will continue to speak for these children because their lives matter, their dreams matter and their future belongs to Nigeria.
The gold beneath their community should build classrooms and livelihoods, not graves. —AA
