Telegram will be blocked in India till June 22 for NEET exam. This is a great move because it was Telegram which was responsible for paper setting and leaks. If still paper leaks, next option is to block Internet in India.
2/2 Addendum: These are the so-called Ayurveda specialists under Vaidya K P Manikandan claiming to have expertise in treating severe illnesses. For example, they claim on this poster that all psychiatric disorders are digestive disorders and discuss illogical matters such as "gut fire" as the reason (and they claim Ayurveda is not pseudoscientific - please fools, give us a break already). Parents and public are misled into these kind of treatment centers and are endangered. Education against such endangerment of childrens health should be promoted, not gagged.
only in a country like india if you report a problem, instead of eradicating the issue they eradicate you because how dare you question the great government
When systems fail, individual heroes rise. These are people who rescued people and administered CPR in the hauz rani fire . (L to R) Amir Khan, Mohd Shoaib, Wasim Raja and Mohd Afzal
More than 25 years in psychiatry has taught me something simple.
I've seen a young mother with severe depression stop eating and become unable to care for her children. A week after starting the right treatment, she was eating again, looking after her family, and beginning to feel like herself.
I've seen a man tormented by hallucinations for years. With the right medication, the voices faded, he returned to work, and rebuilt relationships that had nearly been lost.
Not every patient improves this quickly. Not every treatment works the first time. But in countless cases, medication has been the turning point.
I don't need a debate to convince me of that. I've watched it happen. https://t.co/FwFdgpXiyF
Suicide on Screen vs Suicide Prevention: A Gap We Must Address
A clear contradiction exists.
The Mental Healthcare Act, 2017 places responsibility on the State to reduce suicides. Yet films continue to depict suicide methods and receive certification.
Films like O’Romeo (in image) bring this into focus, where such portrayals can affect vulnerable viewers. This is not about censorship. It is a public health issue.
We already mandate smoking warnings. The same principle should apply here:
• Prominent on-screen disclaimer during such scenes
• Clear display of helpline numbers (e.g., Tele-MANAS 14416)
• Brief, visible help-seeking message
A small intervention. A real chance to save lives.

##WorldBipolarDay
Steve Jobs was diagnosed in 2003 with what was basically the only curable form of pancreatic cancer that there is. They were fortunate to catch it early.
But Jobs declined the surgery, insisting instead on alternative medicine.
He eventually realized he was wrong, but too late.
Yet another casualty of eccentrics with big egos thinking that *they* know better than the doctors.
You can read about it in the Walter Isaacson biography on Jobs.
