@YIMBYLAND Actually the bones are not there lolll, the insane road layouts, 6-lane one way streets, and freeways surrounding downtown make it really unviable to create an actually appealing downtown. That's coming from someone that is mostly car-free and actually likes going downtown haha
people aren’t exaggerating. the energy in nyc right now is indescribable. pretty much everywhere you go there’s people going down stairs that lead to a train that you can take to other places in the city

Seen a lot of talk about music for baseball players going in the game and I gotta jump in and say something: it's walk up music if it's a batter going to the plate, it's walk-out music if it's a pitcher going to the mound
U.S. officials trying to tell the Iranians that they will actually honor any negotiated agreements this time and not bomb and kill and invade them, and to please negotiate with them again
🛑BREAKING NEWS: The "Global Bridge" for Cuba is now a reality
Mexico officially becomes the world's gas station for humanitarian aid. 🇲🇽✈️
President Claudia Sheinbaum has just confirmed that any aircraft, regardless of its origin, will be allowed to land and refuel on Mexican soil if its final destination is to deliver aid to the island. 🇨🇺
If you want a sense of how dire the situation is in Cuba now, here is a list of the measures the Cuban president says the nation has started taking to try to keep people in nursing homes and hospitals alive while Trump and Rubio choke the island of essentials, which the Cuban government is now referring to a "genocidal blockade" -- which is absolutely will be if it is allowed to persist.
Cuba is not at war with anybody yet we are starving them...because why? Because Marco Rubio wants to?
From the office of the Cuban presidency:
This Friday, measures adopted by the country’s leadership were announced in response to the nation’s current situation, amid the intensification of the #GenocidalBlockade.

No es que los ciclistas seamos “mejores”.
Es que movernos en bici entrena el cerebro para anticipar, leer el entorno y pensar en colectivo.
Quien solo conduce, solo ve carriles.
Quien pedalea, ve la ciudad.
