Yet here she is, alive, stronger than ever, but most importantly, content with the family around her.
A family of three fillies that when grown will ensure their mother is cared for and loved.
Just like she did for them when they were young.
There was once a time when Hearts and Hooves Day had no meaning to Magnolia.
Sure, she would make sure the best flowers possible were grown for whoever wanted them, and she would make sure her nieces got something nice.
But after losing her husband and daughter, it felt empty.
But as the day ended and she found herself surrounded by her daughters, she had one of those moments of just pure happiness.
Something she never thought she would feel again, especially not in the deepest throes of depression…
{Though she can’t stay in bed for long. Her eyes turn towards the door through which her three hungry little bed wetters have their rooms. @LilHeartOfLight, @MiddyBatty, and @HoovesInHuggies need their mommy soon, so with a little stretch, she goes to see them.}
{It’s a quiet start to the morning for Maggie. One of the first where she isn’t getting up early and hurrying to get to the greenhouse. The holiday rush has ended and she can finally take a well deserved break before she starts getting ready for Hearts & Hooves Day.}
@MiddyBatty {She would giggle in turn, a smile on her face from the silliness of one of her daughters. For a moment, she thought she would be needed to deal with a diaper change, but it looks like not this time. What she will deal with is some flowers about to ship out.}
{Maggie takes a break from working in the greenhouse. Hearth’s warming season has kept her busy growing lots of pretty poinsettias to send near and far. She has help, but she loves doing the work too. But with things under control, she wonders if she should check on her girls.}
@MiddyBatty Middy? Middy!
{She leans down to hug her, happy to see her too. She’s always happy to see her babies.}
What are you doing here? Shouldn’t you be with Beamy, Berry, and Vella?
@HoovesInHuggies /She remembers that night very well. She can still hear the little filly’s wails as she sat in the dark, scared, starving, and alone. She’ll never know why her family decided she was a hopeless burden but that could be for the best. Blueberry is her daughter./
[Taking a break from work so she can check on @LilHeartOfLight, @MiddyBatty, and @HoovesInHuggies and make sure they aren’t giving @ChangrOfPanales any trouble. She knows they don’t, but she just wants to be sure.]
@HoovesInHuggies [Reaches the end of the story, tucking Blueberry into her bed and surrounding her with her favorite plushies.]
"Nighty night, little Blueberry. Sweet dreams."
[Hugs and kisses her, and makes sure the bed pad she put under Blueberry is in place in case she leaks overnight.]
@HoovesInHuggies [Doesn't notice at first, kind of focused on the story, until she catches a whiff.]
"Blueberry, did you go potty, sweetie?"
[Gently moves her enough that she can check her diaper.]
"I think you did. I think you went potty."
[Another nuzzle, then continues reading.]
@ChangrOfPanales @MiddyBatty “Phew, she does. But that’s okay. I love my little girl no matter what.”
[Hugs, nuzzles, kisses the soggy batty, then changes her while she’s there.]
@MiddyBatty @ChangrOfPanales {Comes to check on her girls.}
“Hi Vella. Hi Middy. How’s my Middy?”
{Picks her up, feeling her warm, squishy diaper.}
“Ooo. Middy, did you go potty, baby girl…ooooo, you’re going potty right now.”
/It’s a beautiful weekend day, so Maggie decides to take @LilHeartOfLight, @MiddyBatty , and @HoovesInHuggies out for a picnic. She makes sure to pack lunch, a few toys, and some blankets in case any of her babies decide it’s nap time./
/After they get to the greenhouse, Maggie will let @LilHeartOfLight, @MiddyBatty, and @HoovesInHuggies be with her while she is out in the fields with the flowers. She knows they will behave, but she asks @ChangrOfPanales to be nearby, just in case./
/Maggie is very busy now that it's spring. There are lots of flowers to grow and take care of. It's a lot of work, but she doesn't mind. The same with her daughters. It's lots of work taking care of them, but she doesn't mind. And she always makes time for them./
