Today, we open the National Youth Confab 2026 @Youthconfab2026. The message to every young Nigerian is this: Our dear country believes in you and in what you can do for its future.
When I proposed this Confab, I wanted young Nigerians to have more than a seat in the room. Your experience and ambition should help shape the decisions that affect your lives.
Say what you think. Where you disagree with us, say so, and bring the alternative with you. Our job as a government is to listen and act on what deserves action.
The virtual consultations run for the next two weeks and are open to you wherever you are, at home or in the diaspora.
I look forward to receiving your recommendations and giving them the serious consideration they deserve.
God bless every Nigerian Youth
God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria
Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR

Dear President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR,
On the morning of Nigeria’s 66th Independence anniversary, Citygate—the ceremonial entrance into the Federal Capital Territory—stood under a clear Abuja sky. Flags lined the approach. Motorists slowed. Passers-by gathered where the road opens into the capital, as if the gate itself had become a public square. It was there that Hon. Abiodun Bolade Co-Convener of Tinubu New Media addressed citizens and visitors, defending the mandate you received in 2023 and speaking directly to the anxieties and expectations that still surround the Renewed Hope Agenda.
He did not speak as if the last three years had been easy. He acknowledged the cost of subsidy removal, the pressure of foreign-exchange reform, and the strain many households still feel. Then he placed those measures in the longer frame you have set: a country that can no longer finance consumption with borrowed illusion, and a government that has chosen to rebuild the base on which later prosperity must stand. Roads under construction, rail corridors being extended, student-loan access expanded, and efforts to widen the tax net without pretending the transition is painless—these, he said, are not slogans. They are works in progress that require time to mature.
What gave the moment its force was not only the speech. I spent the anniversary moving among the crowd and among the journalists who had come to cover the day, Nigerian and foreign alike. The conversations were unscripted
A trader from Nyanya told me she still counts every naira, yet she has noticed that some federal roads she uses no longer collapse after the first heavy rain.
A young civil servant said the student-loan portal had reached his younger sister when family savings could not. A commercial driver was blunt about fuel prices, then added that he would rather argue with a government that is building than with one that only distributes. These were not uniform endorsements. They were conditional hopes
Among the foreign correspondents, the questions were sharper. One asked whether macro reforms would outlast a single term. Another wanted evidence that security spending was changing conditions outside the capital. A third noted that investors watch consistency more than ceremony. I put those questions, in plain language, back to people at the gate
The answers varied, but a pattern appeared: many Nigerians will judge the Renewed Hope Agenda by whether projects now visible on the ground are finished, not merely announced. They are watching the Lagos–Calabar coastal road, the Sokoto–Badagry corridor, power and gas investments, the student-loan scheme, and the effort to stabilise the naira and broaden revenue. They want those works completed, not reset
Hon. Bolade met that mood directly. He argued that a mandate is not a decoration; it is a contract to finish what has been started. He reminded the gathering that reforms of this scale rarely yield their full return inside one electoral cycle. Currency adjustment, subsidy rationalisation, and infrastructure pipelines impose early costs and later gains. To abandon them midway, he said, would be to pay the price without collecting the benefit. That was his case for continuity into 2027: not personal loyalty, but the practical need to see legacy projects through procurement, construction, commissioning, and maintenance
He was equally clear about accountability. Defense of the mandate, in his telling, is not denial of hardship. It is the insistence that hardship imposed by necessary correction should be matched by visible delivery—schools and hospitals that function, corridors that move goods, a security architecture that protects farms and highways, and a fiscal path that does not mortgage the next generation
He urged supporters to defend the record with facts and critics to test it with the same standard: what has been started, what has been finished, and what remains

_Tinubu New Media Team and Dr. Sunday Dare Celebrate Nigeria at 66_
As Nigeria marks its 66th Independence Anniversary, the Tinubu New Media Team, alongside Dr. Sunday Dare, extends warm greetings and heartfelt felicitations to all Nigerians at home and across the world.
Sixty-six years after gaining independence on October 1, 1960, Nigeria remains a nation defined by resilience, diversity, enterprise and an enduring belief in the possibilities of a greater future.
This anniversary is not merely a celebration of the passage of time. It is an opportunity to reflect on how far we have come, acknowledge the challenges before us, and renew our collective commitment to building the Nigeria we desire.
Under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Federal Government continues to pursue reforms under the Renewed Hope Agenda, with a focus on strengthening the economy, improving infrastructure, expanding opportunities for young Nigerians, attracting investment and creating the conditions for sustainable national development.
The journey of nation-building is never without difficulties. But Nigeria has repeatedly demonstrated that its greatest strength lies in the determination, creativity and resilience of its people.
From the entrepreneurs building businesses, to farmers feeding communities; from our teachers and healthcare workers to our security personnel; from young innovators creating solutions to Nigerians representing the country on the global stage, the Nigerian spirit continues to drive the nation forward.
As we celebrate this milestone, we must also remember that the responsibility of building Nigeria belongs to all of us. Government has a role to play, but citizens, communities, businesses, civil society and institutions all have important parts to contribute.
Our diversity should remain a source of strength rather than division. Our differences in language, culture, religion and geography should enrich our national identity and reinforce the understanding that, despite our differences, Nigeria is our common home.
On this Independence Day, we celebrate the sacrifices of those who laid the foundation for our freedom and honour generations of Nigerians who have contributed to the growth and development of our nation.
We also look ahead with confidence.
There is still much work to be done, but there is equally much to believe in.
Nigeria is a work in progress, and every generation has a responsibility to make the nation better than it found it.
The Tinubu New Media Team and Dr. Sunday Dare therefore call on Nigerians to continue to believe in Nigeria, support peaceful and constructive nation-building, and remain committed to the values that can move our country forward.
As we commemorate 66 years of independence, may Nigeria continue to grow in strength, prosperity, peace and unity.
Happy 66th Independence Anniversary, Nigeria!
God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
God bless the Nigerian people.
