Milky Way seas o has just begun in New Zealand, and it’s a time when you see the galactic centre of our Milky Way rising above the horizon to the east just before sunrise. I shot this from the lighthouse at Cape Palliser.
Meet “Juneau”, the first chick to hatch in 2021 at the Crombie Lockwood Kiwi Burrow. Partway through the second clutch of the season, the Burrow is still very busy with 13 chicks and 21 eggs on site, which sits the team at 64 hatches and 50 releases for the season so far!
