MY STORY: I NEVER IMAGINED I WOULD HAVE TO COME HERE AND ASK FOR HELP TO SURVIVE. 💔🥺 I honestly never thought the day would come when I would have to put my situation out here like this, telling people about my health struggles and asking for financial assistance. If someone had told me months ago that I would find myself in this position, I probably would not have believed it. But sometimes, life happens in ways we never planned for, and you find yourself fighting battles you never imagined you would have to face. My journey started when I began experiencing health concerns that made me seek medical attention. At first, I was dealing with issues related to hormonal imbalance and what I understood to be PCOS. I started going for tests and investigations, hoping to understand what was happening to my body and find a solution. What I didn't know was that this was only the beginning of a much more difficult journey. I went through several medical tests and investigations, and the expenses kept piling up. Every test came with another bill, another hospital visit, another reason to worry. Despite the financial burden, I kept pushing because, at that point, all I wanted was to get better. Eventually, the investigations revealed ovarian cysts, and surgery became necessary. I had to undergo open surgery, and my right ovary was removed. That period was one of the most difficult experiences of my life. Surgery was painful, recovery was not easy, and everything about the experience was emotionally overwhelming. But through it all, I held on to hope. I told myself that perhaps this was the end of the problem. I believed that after the surgery, I would recover, return to my normal life, get back to work, focus on my business, and gradually put everything behind me. I thought I had finally overcome the worst of it. But I was wrong. After the surgery, I waited for my pathology result, hoping and praying that the result would bring good news. Instead, the result revealed low-grade papillary serous carcinoma, a type of ovarian cancer. I cannot fully explain what it felt like to receive that news. Imagine going through surgery, trying to recover physically and emotionally, believing you are finally getting your life back, only to discover that you are now facing cancer. It was heartbreaking. I kept asking myself, How did I get here? Why is this happening to me? After everything I have already been through, do I really have to face another battle? I was still trying to recover from surgery when I had to face the reality of a cancer diagnosis. Further investigations, including a CT scan, also showed a right ovarian tumour with suspicious features. My doctors recommended further treatment, and I had to begin chemotherapy. So here I am, still trying to heal from surgery, undergoing cancer treatment, trying to remain strong even on the days when I feel completely exhausted, frightened, and emotionally drained. People may see me online and assume that I am okay. They may see me smile, post something, or try to go about my daily life, but the truth is that there is so much happening behind the scenes that I don't always have the strength to explain. Cancer treatment is not just physically and emotionally demanding; it is financially draining too. The tests, hospital visits, medications, chemotherapy, scans, and other medical expenses have become more than I can comfortably handle on my own. I have tried to manage things as best as I can. I have tried to find a way, to keep going, and to figure things out without having to bring my personal struggles before people. Asking for help has never been easy for me, especially when it concerns something this personal. But the truth is that I have reached a point where I cannot pretend that I can carry this burden alone anymore. I NEED HELP.
